Note: This is a neat but cool little idea for the Sonic Universe, since this I had given the scrapped BFish Babnik of Sonic 2 a thought.

Update: I have added 2 lines to separate the three sections of the picture from each other.

Update 2: I have given the Orbinaut an upgrade, I have improved the Robotnik Logo on the Fish, and I added a Brand New Badnik for the BFish Badnik.

Update 3: I have given the New Badniks a colour change, I have slightly changed the eye colour of the Orbinaut, and I have created the payload from the Mine Launchers of the New Badnik.

Update 4: I have changed the colour of the missiles of three Catapult Badniks, whilst showing what the missiles look like, and how many missiles are fired from each missile launcher.

Last Known Location: Spotted on an aquatic planet in the Opal Sector of Space

The Badnik Fish (BFish) Orbinaut, was a neat and unique creation to the Robotnik Empire, as well as another form of Badnik to roam and hunt in water atmospheres. The Year of Robotnik had just begun this year, Doctor Julian Ivonson (Ivo) Alexander Robotnik (Eggman) who was in a classified secret location on the Planet Mobius, was looking through some old files that he had illegally downloaded from Mobian Networks due to intense but secret hacking, when he discovered a place called Hidden Palace. The location was an old site of the Ancient Mobian Tribe of Hedgehogs that were as ancient as the Ancient Echidna Tribe, and this Ancient Hedgehog Tribe used to worship the Harmony Peridot Gemstones that used magic powers to ensure plant life to survive forever, but rumours still persist of the Harmony Peridot Gemstones still existing to this day. Unfortunately according to the accurate historical reports, the Ancient Hedgehog Tribe was wiped out to a mysterious disease that was never ever identified as it vanished without a host to infect. Doctor Robotnik suspected that the disease could've been a form of Cancer and/or Polio due to fossil bones found in the Hidden Palace area, and these bones had deformities that matched the other two known diseases of today. After reading about the old reports of Hidden Palace, Doctor Robotnik got work by getting an Entourage Legion of Badniks together in order to set off and find the Hidden Palace, before setting off on an adventure to find the recorded location of Mobius. It took about six hours before Doctor Robotnik found the Hidden Palace location, and found to his luck that the Mobian Authorities were no longer in control of the entire area, and so the Badniks set to work colonising the area to annex it to the Robotnik Empire. Doctor Robotnik then had the thought of creating five new Badniks as well as a Badnik Boss, to make his empire known and unique in the Hidden Palace Destination as well as to make the Robotnik image less boring to all people of Mobius. Gathering a small task force of Banper, Frog, and Cactus Badniks (Sonic 2 scrapped Badniks), Doctor Robotnik set them the mission to create a large boss Badnik, whilst he made a small task force of Splats the Rabbit Badniks (Sonic 1 scrapped Badnik) to create a very unique Badnik for the water filled areas of Hidden Palace, and a third task force of Motobugs to create a Catapult Badnik. It took about two weeks for the Splats the Rabbit Badniks to create a fish robot called Badnik Fish, whilst the task force of Banper, Frog, and Cactus Badniks created a large Orbinaut that could summon eight Badnik Fish, and the third task force of Motobugs created two special Catapult Badniks. Doctor Robotnik also saw that three other task forces of mixed Badniks made a Jellygnite Badnik, a robot bat called Badnik Bat (BBat), and a Redz Badnik. In a large hangar in a secret location, Doctor Robotnik who was accompanied by Robot Inspectors (OC name idea of mine) looked at the four Badniks first, as he wanted to be surprised by the Catapult Badnik and then the Boss Badnik last of all. Doctor Robotnik inspected the four new Badniks and said "Simple but perfect anyway. I like the Badnik Fish the most out of all of them.", and gave the approval stamp on all four Badnik Forms that were presented to him by Robot Inspectors. Looking at the Catapult Badniks, Doctor Robotnik said "Now these are strange Robots. How do they work?", to which a Motobug replied with "The Escort Catapult Badniks function perfectly in pairs in order to Transport and Launch Badniks at enemies. With the Miniature Electro-Beam Magnets for Transportation, and the Medium Duty Electro-Beam Repellent Magnets for Catapultation, the Badniks will get to their key targets. Right Now we have programmed the Escort Catapult to be paired with both The Badnik Fish, and the Badnik Boss.". Impressed by the results, Doctor Robotnik gave the approval stamp to the Blueprints of the Escort Catapult, before looking at the Badnik Boss of the final task force. Upon closer inspection, both the Badnik Fish invention and the Escort Catapult, were paired next to the Orbinaut, which pleased Doctor Robotnik. "Might I ask how these three inventions work together?" started Doctor Robotnik with a question, before a Banper Badnik answered with "The Badnik Fish Orbinaut uses its Two Front Sound Speakers to summon eight Badnik Fish at a time. The eight summoned Badnik Fish have the job to defend the Badnik Fish Orbinaut, whilst killing a threat that tries to destroy the Badnik Fish Orbinaut.", making Doctor Robotnik approve with a nod. "As well as the mouth at the front in between the Two Front Sound Speakers, the Badnik Fish Orbinaut can help communicate tactics between the Badnik Fish to attack a group of enemies through a series of radio communications, which are transmitted through the Two Front Speakers in the form of Infrasonic waves." explained a Cactus Badnik, and Doctor Robotnik said "Ah, that is very good. This is looking very promising, I would like to see these two Badniks in action.", before a Frog Badnik concluded with "A Magical Sapphire Gemstone is what powers the Badnik Fish Orbinaut, so that it doesn't malfunction in the long run. With both spikes and laser blasters, people will think twice before engaging this Orbinaut in a hurry.". One Motobug finished off the explanation with "When our imperial forces are in danger near Robotnik Occupied Waters, the Escort Catapults will hover over the water and use radio communications to summon the Badnik Fish and Badnik Fish Orbinaut. The Top Transport Catapult will attract both out of the water, before the Bottom Transport Catapult will go underneath to stop the Badniks from falling back into the water. Together, both Escort Catapults will carry the Badniks to their battlefield destination, and then launch them at the hostile targets that are attacking our forces. If the Badnik Forces fail to hit their target, then the Escort Catapults will save them from death, and the Escort Catapults can also pack a powerful punch themselves, with a Magical Green Coloured Diamond to back them up all the way to victory.", making the Robot Inspectors write down good notes to finish their reports of the new Badniks. After the inspection, Doctor Robotnik said "Let us put these Badniks into mass production away, so that we can test them when a threat comes along. This has been the best Year of Robotnik that I have ever had, and nothing can go wrong with it!", before the Escort Catapult, the Badnik Fish, the Badnik Bat, the Badnik Redz, and the Badnik Jellygnite were sent off in the factory to be mass created. It didn't take long before a rare event occurred, and this event change the face of the Robotnik Empire for the future.

The following event goes as is recorded:

Whilst Doctor Robotnik was awaiting the results of the Badnik Expeditions who are trying to find any Harmony Peridot Gemstones, a weird alien ship arrived from the skies and started to attack the Badnik Patrol Forces, and it was soon joined by other Argonian Ships. "What the hell is going on?" snapped Doctor Robotnik angrily, as he ordered the Hidden Palace Entrance Base Defences to open fire on the alien ship. "I am Commander Argos: A victor over the fungoids, and the best commander of the Argonian Forces. I am here to take what is mine, so that my reign of terror can reach new boundaries. I entered a random black hole in my universe (Ratchet and Clank Universe) and came out a random white hole in your universe (Sonic Universe). Prepare yourself for my fiery reign of strength!" contacted the pilot of the alien ship, who showed a green hologram of himself, before Doctor Robotnik radioed back "I am Doctor Robotnik. I am going to destroy you this instant.", and then all the Badniks were attacking the Argonian Ships whilst going up against Commander Argos's Command Ship. "Is that the best you can do against me human scumbag? I have fought mad scientists like you and won, hell I've even butted heads with that techno-head Doctor Nefarious and survived. What makes you so different from them?" Gloated Argos, to which Doctor Robotnik replied with "Why are you here in MY Backyard?!", as he returned fire to down a few Argonian Ships with his Egg Mobile. "Yeah, sure I had to run away from that Lombax Ratchet and his Robot Clank by going into a black hole, but now that I am in your universe due to a white hole. I can kick your fat a**e to kingdom come!" boasted Commander Argos, and Doctor Robotnik now found himself looking at Commander Argos's Command Ship that was scoring kills against his Badnik Forces. Fortunately, the Escort Catapults were launching Badnik Fish, Badnik Bats, Redz Badniks, and Jellygnite Badniks were scoring kills against Argonian Ships, whilst making cuts and dents on Commander Argos's Command Ship. The Badnik Fish Orbinaut was then hoisted out of the water by a Top Transport Catapult, where a Bottom Transport Catapult stopped it from falling back into the water, before both jetted off to take on Commander Argos himself. As soon as Commander Argos's Command Ship was in sight, the two Escort Catapult Badniks launched the Badnik Fish Orbinaut at the hostile ship, whilst Badnik Fish from other Escort Catapult Badniks joined it in the air, with a lot of Escort Catapults opening fire at Commander Argos's Command Ship, and at the same time the Badnik Fish Orbinaut opened fire. "You can't defeat me Doctor Robotnik! I am the ultimate threat of human beings, you cannot win this battle. Even if you fought me without your weak technical terrors, I can still have you on the floor Dead! I am the greatest Argonian being on this world I tell all of ye, THE GREATEST ARGONIAN GOD EVER!" boasted Commander Argos, before the Badnik Fish Orbinaut, the multiple Badnik Fish, and the Projectiles of the Escort Catapults, flew into the ship and crashed through the main viewport at the front. Commander Argos was instantly killed by the weight and force of the Badnik Fish Orbinaut as well as by its bottom spike, whilst his ship crashed onto a large pile of rocks to explode into broken pieces, but miraculously, all of the Badnik Fish survived due to the help of the Escort Transports. Even the Badnik Fish Orbinaut was saved by two Escort Catapults. As the last of the Argonian Ships made their stand, the Badnik Forces destroyed the last of them, leaving nothing but dead Argonians and wrecked ships that decorated the nearby shoreline of the area. After the battle, Doctor Robotnik celebrated with his new Badniks and Badnik Boss, as well as his entire Badnik Forces of the Hidden Palace location, but got the bad news that all the Harmony Peridot Gemstones were all gone. Despite this bad news, Doctor Robotnik decided to keep a control over Hidden Palace, just to make his empire just that little bit bigger, and just said "Oh well. At least I have not had a bad Year of Robotnik, in fact, quite the opposite.".

The Badnik Fish Orbinaut with the Badnik Fish and the Escort Catapults, were last seen in the oceans and bodies of water of an aquatic planet of the Opal Sector, since Doctor Robotnik ordered them to stay put there to be out of sight and knowledge of Sonic the Hedgehog, his friends, and G.U.N. A Magical Champagne Zircon Gemstone now powers the Badnik Fish instead of the Mobian Animal Critter.

This is a neat little idea I had on mind, since I had found out that the BFish Badnik wasn't getting enough recognition out there on the internet.

Since there have been no ideas of Badniks surrounding an Orbinaut Badnik, let alone Badnik Fish surrounding an Orbinaut Badnik, I had to create this OC of mine to make it look unique and original.

One other inspiration for this OC invention was from The House of the Dead, since the Hierophant Type B-05 with the Mofish of House of the Dead 2 looked promising and reminded me of the Hangedman Type-041 with the Devilons of House of the Dead 1, and even though the Hierophant is not seen with the Mofish at the start, it can summon them midway during the boss fight in Chapter 2 Muddy, however, in my mind I pictured a large swarm of Mofish surrounding the Hierophant whilst underwater, making the boss behave like the Hanged man with the Devilons, and since there is a House of the Dead 1 Remake on the way, then there might be a House of the Dead 2 Remake after this, with the hope of this little idea being used for the second remake, due to me picturing the Mofish surrounding Hierophant whilst underwater (and both of these bosses are in the second chapter of their own games, as well as fought twice in their own games (but the Mofish are absent from Chapter 5 Dawn, and Hangedman with the Devilons appear in Scarlet Dawn)), which is the main inspiration for this Sonic OC of mine right here.

Also, the Banper, Frog, and Cactus Badniks were scrapped ideas that never made it off of paper when Sonic 2 was being made.

Plus, in Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time, the original timeline was that Commander Argos won, and the planet of the Fungoids was now in a state of ruin (before Ratchet and Clank altered the timeline, in order to find Doctor Nefarious to defeat him, before he used the Great Clock), and so I used that Commander Argos for my story, but this is the second time I have used Commander Argos to be part of an OC fan story of mine, as he died in the Star Wars Universe after faking his death in Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time (not really, I made that up for fun and for a fan OC story, see TIE/ld Zapper for more info).

Finally, I had the idea of an Ancient Hedgehog Tribe, since Knuckles's race had an ancient tribe, so why not do the same for Sonic's race.

Oh, I also put the Robotnik symbol on the left side of the Badnik Fish, in order to make people of the Sonic Universe know who built it, and the red jaw muscles were also a neat little idea of mine to show that the Badnik Fish looks menacing.

The idea of Year of Robotnik came to me, since most mascots have their own years, I decided that it was time for Robotnik to have his own year, and this is the second Robotnik Event that I have come up with.

I had to look at the original sprite that I got as a screen shot from the Sonic Wikia Fandom Website page to draw the Badnik Fish, before deleting the screenshot from the picture since I had no use for it after drawing the Badnik Fish, and it took a bit shorter than expected since I paid close attention to the detail of the sprite image of the screenshot, whilst looking at the tiny pixel details of the Badnik Fish to check that I had drawn it as best as I could in MS Paint correctly, and this is the second time I have done this since I did this with Splats the Rabbit Badnik (see Egg Dystopia Egg-Tack Pod for more info).

The Escort Catapult came to my mind, since I wanted to show how the Badnik Fish and the Badnik Fish Orbinaut got out of the water, and this is a neat effort of Doctor Robotnik's Badnik Forces to show their intelligence off.

Impressed by the results, Doctor Robotnik gave the approval stamp to the Blueprints of the Escort Catapult, before looking at the Badnik Boss of the final task force. Upon closer inspection, both the Badnik Fish invention and the Escort Catapult, were paired next to the Orbinaut, which pleased Doctor Robotnik. "Might I ask how these three inventions work together?" started Doctor Robotnik with a question, before a Banper Badnik answered with "The Badnik Fish Orbinaut uses its Two Front Sound Speakers to summon eight Badnik Fish at a time. The eight summoned Badnik Fish have the job to defend the Badnik Fish Orbinaut, whilst killing a threat that tries to destroy the Badnik Fish Orbinaut.", making Doctor Robotnik approve with a nod. "As well as the mouth at the front in between the Two Front Sound Speakers, the Badnik Fish Orbinaut can help communicate tactics between the Badnik Fish to attack a group of enemies through a series of radio communications, which are transmitted through the Two Front Speakers in the form of Infrasonic waves." explained a Cactus Badnik, and Doctor Robotnik said "Ah, that is very good. This is looking very promising, I would like to see these two Badniks in action.", before a Frog Badnik concluded with "A Magical Sapphire Gemstone is what powers the Badnik Fish Orbinaut, so that it doesn't malfunction in the long run. With both spikes and laser blasters, people will think twice before engaging this Orbinaut in a hurry.". One Motobug finished off the explanation with "When our imperial forces are in danger near Robotnik Occupied Waters, the Escort Catapults will hover over the water and use radio communications to summon the Badnik Fish and Badnik Fish Orbinaut. The Top Transport Catapult will attract both out of the water, before the Bottom Transport Catapult will go underneath to stop the Badniks from falling back into the water. Together, both Escort Catapults will carry the Badniks to their battlefield destination, and then launch them at the hostile targets that are attacking our forces. If the Badnik Forces fail to hit their target, then the Escort Catapults will save them from death, and the Escort Catapults can also pack a powerful punch themselves, with a Magical Green Coloured Diamond to back them up all the way to victory.", making the Robot Inspectors write down good notes to finish their reports of the new Badniks. After the inspection, Doctor Robotnik said "Let us put these Badniks into mass production away, so that we can test them when a threat comes along. This has been the best Year of Robotnik that I have ever had, and nothing can go wrong with it!", before the Escort Catapult, the Badnik Fish, the Badnik Bat, the Badnik Redz, and the Badnik Jellygnite were sent off in the factory to be mass created. It didn't take long before a rare event occurred, and this event change the face of the Robotnik Empire for the future.

The following event goes as is recorded:

Whilst Doctor Robotnik was awaiting the results of the Badnik Expeditions who are trying to find any Harmony Peridot Gemstones, a weird alien ship arrived from the skies and started to attack the Badnik Patrol Forces, and it was soon joined by other Argonian Ships. "What the hell is going on?" snapped Doctor Robotnik angrily, as he ordered the Hidden Palace Entrance Base Defences to open fire on the alien ship. "I am Commander Argos: A victor over the fungoids, and the best commander of the Argonian Forces. I am here to take what is mine, so that my reign of terror can reach new boundaries. I entered a random black hole in my universe (Ratchet and Clank Universe) and came out a random white hole in your universe (Sonic Universe). Prepare yourself for my fiery reign of strength!" contacted the pilot of the alien ship, who showed a green hologram of himself, before Doctor Robotnik radioed back "I am Doctor Robotnik. I am going to destroy you this instant.", and then all the Badniks were attacking the Argonian Ships whilst going up against Commander Argos's Command Ship. "Is that the best you can do against me human scumbag? I have fought mad scientists like you and won, hell I've even butted heads with that techno-head Doctor Nefarious and survived. What makes you so different from them?" Gloated Argos, to which Doctor Robotnik replied with "Why are you here in MY Backyard?!", as he returned fire to down a few Argonian Ships with his Egg Mobile. "Yeah, sure I had to run away from that Lombax Ratchet and his Robot Clank by going into a black hole, but now that I am in your universe due to a white hole. I can kick your fat a**e to kingdom come!" boasted Commander Argos, and Doctor Robotnik now found himself looking at Commander Argos's Command Ship that was scoring kills against his Badnik Forces. Fortunately, the Escort Catapults were launching Badnik Fish, Badnik Bats, Redz Badniks, and Jellygnite Badniks were scoring kills against Argonian Ships, whilst making cuts and dents on Commander Argos's Command Ship. The Badnik Fish Orbinaut was then hoisted out of the water by a Top Transport Catapult, where a Bottom Transport Catapult stopped it from falling back into the water, before both jetted off to take on Commander Argos himself. As soon as Commander Argos's Command Ship was in sight, the two Escort Catapult Badniks launched the Badnik Fish Orbinaut at the hostile ship, whilst Badnik Fish from other Escort Catapult Badniks joined it in the air, with a lot of Escort Catapults opening fire at Commander Argos's Command Ship, and at the same time the Badnik Fish Orbinaut opened fire. "You can't defeat me Doctor Robotnik! I am the ultimate threat of human beings, you cannot win this battle. Even if you fought me without your weak technical terrors, I can still have you on the floor Dead! I am the greatest Argonian being on this world I tell all of ye, THE GREATEST ARGONIAN GOD EVER!" boasted Commander Argos, before the Badnik Fish Orbinaut, the multiple Badnik Fish, and the Projectiles of the Escort Catapults, flew into the ship and crashed through the main viewport at the front. Commander Argos was instantly killed by the weight and force of the Badnik Fish Orbinaut as well as by its bottom spike, whilst his ship crashed onto a large pile of rocks to explode into broken pieces, but miraculously, all of the Badnik Fish survived due to the help of the Escort Transports. Even the Badnik Fish Orbinaut was saved by two Escort Catapults. As the last of the Argonian Ships made their stand, the Badnik Forces destroyed the last of them, leaving nothing but dead Argonians and wrecked ships that decorated the nearby shoreline of the area. After the battle, Doctor Robotnik celebrated with his new Badniks and Badnik Boss, as well as his entire Badnik Forces of the Hidden Palace location, but got the bad news that all the Harmony Peridot Gemstones were all gone. Despite this bad news, Doctor Robotnik decided to keep a control over Hidden Palace, just to make his empire just that little bit bigger, and just said "Oh well. At least I have not had a bad Year of Robotnik, in fact, quite the opposite.".

The Badnik Fish Orbinaut with the Badnik Fish and the Escort Catapults, were last seen in the oceans and bodies of water of an aquatic planet of the Opal Sector, since Doctor Robotnik ordered them to stay put there to be out of sight and knowledge of Sonic the Hedgehog, his friends, and G.U.N. A Magical Champagne Zircon Gemstone now powers the Badnik Fish instead of the Mobian Animal Critter.

This is a neat little idea I had on mind, since I had found out that the BFish Badnik wasn't getting enough recognition out there on the internet.

Since there have been no ideas of Badniks surrounding an Orbinaut Badnik, let alone Badnik Fish surrounding an Orbinaut Badnik, I had to create this OC of mine to make it look unique and original.

One other inspiration for this OC invention was from The House of the Dead, since the Hierophant Type B-05 with the Mofish of House of the Dead 2 looked promising and reminded me of the Hangedman Type-041 with the Devilons of House of the Dead 1, and even though the Hierophant is not seen with the Mofish at the start, it can summon them midway during the boss fight in Chapter 2 Muddy, however, in my mind I pictured a large swarm of Mofish surrounding the Hierophant whilst underwater, making the boss behave like the Hanged man with the Devilons, and since there is a House of the Dead 1 Remake on the way, then there might be a House of the Dead 2 Remake after this, with the hope of this little idea being used for the second remake, due to me picturing the Mofish surrounding Hierophant whilst underwater (and both of these bosses are in the second chapter of their own games, as well as fought twice in their own games (but the Mofish are absent from Chapter 5 Dawn, and Hangedman with the Devilons appear in Scarlet Dawn)), which is the main inspiration for this Sonic OC of mine right here.

Also, the Banper, Frog, and Cactus Badniks were scrapped ideas that never made it off of paper when Sonic 2 was being made.

Plus, in Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time, the original timeline was that Commander Argos won, and the planet of the Fungoids was now in a state of ruin (before Ratchet and Clank altered the timeline, in order to find Doctor Nefarious to defeat him, before he used the Great Clock), and so I used that Commander Argos for my story, but this is the second time I have used Commander Argos to be part of an OC fan story of mine, as he died in the Star Wars Universe after faking his death in Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time (not really, I made that up for fun and for a fan OC story, see TIE/ld Zapper for more info).

Finally, I had the idea of an Ancient Hedgehog Tribe, since Knuckles's race had an ancient tribe, so why not do the same for Sonic's race.

Oh, I also put the Robotnik symbol on the left side of the Badnik Fish, in order to make people of the Sonic Universe know who built it, and the red jaw muscles were also a neat little idea of mine to show that the Badnik Fish looks menacing.

The idea of Year of Robotnik came to me, since most mascots have their own years, I decided that it was time for Robotnik to have his own year, and this is the second Robotnik Event that I have come up with.

I had to look at the original sprite that I got as a screen shot from the Sonic Wikia Fandom Website page to draw the Badnik Fish, before deleting the screenshot from the picture since I had no use for it after drawing the Badnik Fish, and it took a bit shorter than expected since I paid close attention to the detail of the sprite image of the screenshot, whilst looking at the tiny pixel details of the Badnik Fish to check that I had drawn it as best as I could in MS Paint correctly, and this is the second time I have done this since I did this with Splats the Rabbit Badnik (see Egg Dystopia Egg-Tack Pod for more info).

The Escort Catapult came to my mind, since I wanted to show how the Badnik Fish and the Badnik Fish Orbinaut got out of the water, and this is a neat effort of Doctor Robotnik's Badnik Forces to show their intelligence off.
