The TIE/pd Carrier (a.k.a. TIE Pod Carrier), is the Pure Galactic Empire's answer for creating not only a drop pod for itself, but a carrier vehicle that could transport single troopers into any dangerous situation. Created in 51 ABY, the TIE/pd Carrier was the result of four TIE Experimental TIE vehicles, that were combined into two TIE vehicles. For the drop pod, a single TIE Experimental M0 a.k.a. TIE Mine was modified to be a safe drop pod, whilst having the nose end of the TIE Experimental M4/TIE Bomb, three regular red scanner eyes, each one was based off of the shoulder eye of the B2 Super Battle Droid (Robot) (there is a red light on the left shoulder of the B2 in Legends, Infinities, and Disney Canon), and an R0 Astromech Drone (Robot) Brain for the red eyes. The scanner eyes were to scan the ground and atmosphere to see if it was safe for the person to get out of the pod, whilst the spikes and hooks were to sink into the ground for the person to get out of the pod, and the person would do was to press three eject buttons. The first eject button was for the nose end to pop off, whilst the second eject button for the top to open up, and the third eject button was to open the bottom up. As for the carrier, it had two boosters of the TIE Experimental M5/TIE Booster with a stable stand to hold each one on each side complete with underneath supports, making it the great getaway ship from a doomed cruiser. The TIE/pd Carrier had 2 Explosive Cannonball Launchers on each side for tackling any threats that might overwhelm it, and 2 Needlenose Laser Blasters that fire slow high intensity rounds to destroy vehicles, making it more than enough to take on most starfighters. It had the job of the ejecting the pod once the target site had been reached, and there was a rear antennae for private communications, which would tell HQ when the pod was dropped off. The position of the carrier above and the pod below, gave it the nickname: 'The TIE Experimental M1/TIE Bizarro's Cousin', and what held the pod underneath the carrier were four ladder poles from the top of the front of the HAVw A6 Juggernaut. As soon as the area for ejection is reached, the TIE Pilot in the carrier presses the ejection button, and the rung poles would release from the ends of both the pod and carrier, making sure that nothing would get stuck or go wrong. The pod would crash to the ground whilst the ladder poles would crash somewhere else, and the carrier would fly off to join in on the battle, or return to base for a new pod for the current battle. Also, the TIE/pd Carrier was inspired by the TIE/drp Pod of the Galactic Empire, and the LAAT/c Clone Army Old Republic ship. After successful testing on the Planet Maria, since the first three times were unsuccessful but not a fatal failure to the volunteers who survived with minor injuries, the TIE/pd Carrier was mass produced in order for the Pure Galactic Empire, to get to the game of fighting back against all factions of the Star Wars Galaxy. Each imperial ship would release 10,000 TIEpd Carriers, with the job of going into battle onto a surface land mass of the planet, to either sabotage the enemy with a spy or commando, or aid the ground forces with elite or stealth soldiers. Sometimes, the TIE/pd Carrier would be used when decoy escape pods are used, so that the enemy will be too distracted to notice that imperial soldiers are on the ground and are coming for them. Plus, there would also be supply pods, ammunition pods, and refuel pods, that would aid the imperial personnel on the ground, as this helped them in the ongoing current missions they were in. The TIE/pd Carrier continued to be in service, well into 400+ ABY, when a group of TIE/pd Carriers were called to investigate a storm ridden planet called Kazook of the Outer Rim, which was named after Kazook Il-Raz in 5 ABY. As the pods landed on the planet surface, the Stealth Troopers, Storm Commandos, Nova Troopers, and Imperial Spies, had to wait for a quick gap in the fierce storms, before ejecting the nose end and stepping out into the oxygen abundant landscape. As they walked forward, they found themselves surrounded by huge storms coming towards them and so had to take refuge in the nearby cave, which is where they found a strange magical source that they nicknamed: Force Eldritch. There is still yet to be some more info, but the imperial archives are slow at updating so expect updates, but in the far future in about ten years or so (but only in the Star Wars Legends and/or Infinities universes
Imperial information ends here.
So, what did you think?
I wanted to create something different, but since the urge to create new TIE vehicles is hard to resist, I decided to take it in turns to swap from one franchise to another, from picture to picture, which is easier said than done.
Also, another four for the price of one, since it has four TIE Experimental vehicles, like the also picture I drew was four for the price of one
Plus, a TIE carrying another TIE sounded cool in my head.
Finally, the Needlenose Laser Blaster was used again, since it is a cool idea I used last time (see Attack Drone and Mechanic Drone for more info).
Oh, and the Planet Kazook is not Kashyyyk, since Kashyyyk is a planet similar to Endor, and despite having the original name for Kashyyyk, also, Planet Kazook is a storm planet, with storms taking place over the face of the planet.
