- i go by max online but it isnt my real name
- i almost always listen to podcasts while drawing so im a big fan of them (my favorites rn are the penumbra podcast, the bright sessions and, the adventure zone)
- my favorite color is purple!
- i love to paint my nails though i usually end up picking off the paint
- i struggle with BFRBs (body focused repetitive behaviors, such as skin picking and hair pulling) so i like to wear makeup to cover up scarring and missing hair

mmm i guess that depends on your definition of hard? my portfolio was probably mediocre but my academics were pretty good so i think that helped me a lot. i got some academic scholarships from the school but even then its really expensive (which was my biggest problem with coming here) but i took online classes during the summer and got credit to decrease costs
i really like it here! my professors have all been easygoing but very knowledgeable, my roommates are good, and i like the campus (though the food is kinda crappy haha). im really happy with my major and im really excited for the opportunities ill have. if youre applying to college now i would recommend at least sending in a portfolio. ringling was my dream school so im biased but its really nice here!!

ringling is my top art college choice bc it is in my native state but I dont have a strong traditional background... I should probably work on that.. hmm

you dont necessarily need a technical background! i had had almost no official art instruction before attending college, almost all my experience was from experimentation and self-teaching. they do need some kinds of more professional work such as drawings from observation and landscapes, but aside from that my portfolio consisted of some paintings from my art class, some character designs, a storyboard and a picture of a community sculpture i helped create. the most important thing imo is that if youre interested in applying, start drawing from life so you have something to submit
