makin adopts again because only the troll ones ever sell and I'm gonna have no points after I renew my pmRULES
I ONLY ACCEPT POINTS
1. Please comment here clearly stating that you want it or if you wish to reserve.
2. When i comment telling you "send the points" please send the points, and then the adoptable is yours!
3. You can do whatever you want with it after you've bought one of them~ name it or play with the outfit...etc. You may resell, but you must have my permission first and you can't resell for more than you bought it for, and please make sure that the original art and design are credited to me, thank you!
4. You may reserve them for only 5 days, but monitor it yourself because I will also accept higher bids if someone really wants one.
5. Password is "nosehair trimmers" showing me that you read the rules.

I'm just going to publicly apologise here and now for how I handled the situation in the below comments, because I've already been flamed and insulted by two people through notes for it.
DarkSkyBlue, I'm sorry I made you change your adopt. I overreacted, and I know I've apologised already and it's solved now but I'll say it again.Β
When I first saw this adopt, I thought someone had stolen my design. People have told me that it doesn't look like the refs I supplied of my character at all, but honestly, that's because I can't draw to save my life. The idea of him, however, looked very much like the adopt that was featured here, and that's what rattled me.
It was proven to be a coincidence, but by that point I was paranoid, because I have had my art and designs stolen before, and in that case, the thief had taken all the credit and a huge amount of glory that came from stealing a design that was mine.Β
I insisted she change it for that reason and also because I have always found it reasonable to change a design if someone points out that it was too close to their OC's - and because it was an adoptable. If she had designed a legitimate character for long-term personal use that looked like Aphka, I would have approached this differently.Β
DarkSkyBlue, you did change your adopt as I asked, and for that I'm grateful, especially after how harsh I sounded when I still thought you'd copied me. I've thanked you for this, but I'll say it again. You dealt really well with my bullshit, and after it was resolved I thought it best to kind of back quietly away with what dignity I had left, but apparently that wasn't good enough for some people.Β
In short, yes, I overreacted, and I was harsh because I thought someone had stolen the design of my most beloved character and was about to make a big profit on it, but I should have calmed down and backed away after I knew for certain that it was a coincidence and that alone. I'm not calling her a thief, nor am I trying to start a fight. I made a mistake and got mad because this has happened to me before, and it nearly destroyed me as an artist.

i can understand where they would say they looked similar, and whoever buys the adopt can change it however they like, so if they don't like what I changed it to that's fine. there's really no need to make a huge fuss over it.

I know it's a coincidence but I really don't think it's unfair of me to ask for a few little changes. Like I've said, I know I would change something that I'd designed if I'd done the same thing, out of common courtesy.

There's a 1/13 chance that the blood color will be the same. Β Snapped horns are common, obviously. Β You're being vague by saying appearance. Β The hairstyle looks pretty normal, and unlike yours. Β Sorry, man, but you can't call "copied" at every fantroll you see.

Sorry, "man", but this is the first time I've ever done this, in over two years of having fantrolls, and it's because I'm bothered by this.
I haven't been impolite, and I don't think it's too much to ask of you to show me the same courtesy.Β
The seller has agreed to change it a little, a decision which I'm very thankful for. I think that's fair.

well sorry, its a pretty simple design so im not surprised there would be similar ones. I didn't steal the design, since that's what you're implying but I'm sorry about that. I don't think I've ever seen a character like that to be honest though.

What's bothering me is the blood colour, hairstyle, eyepatch and broken horn - and the fact that he looks kinda beat-up. That's exactly like my character.

oh, well those are all pretty commonly used traits, though I do admit they're a bit similar. I don't think they're similar enough to take down though, although since you do have a problem with it I wouldn't mind getting rid of the X and changing the blood color.

You know, in all my time and all the fantrolls I've seen, I haven't seen a single one that looks similar to Aphka until now - they're not common traits, aside from the broken horn. Your adopt and my character look similar enough to startle me.
I would appreciate you changing it - rather drastically - if you're not going to take it down. I think that's fair, and I know I'd do the same without question if I'd accidentally designed an adopt that looked extremely similar to someone's most beloved OC. I'm not asking much. ^^
Seriously, though, if you'd given him long pants and boots and turned the horns the other way around, they'd be practically identical.
