Description
My entry for the Blade and Soul Costume design contest. The timeline for the entire thing was pretty short. By the time I found out there was basically a week left, but it just happened to be the same week I was moving apartments AND Anime Expo. Ended up doing a rush job with the guy version not colored. Unfortunately I didn't even make the finalists cut. Though I'm pretty used to that by now.Male version:

A very stylistic design, it would fit very well with the gunslinger class that came out recently in my opinion. I entered the design competition this year too but didn't make it to the finals, mostly I believed due to my unpolished illustration skills as well as poor designing.

The winner for the first one was really good and had a variation on every race. Anyways I've entered a lot of competitions over the years and rarely won, there's always someone just a bit better. So now I just focus on my own stuff and getting noticed via social media.

Love the shoes. So don't wanna get stomped with those! The attitude of the character matches the costumes. How'd you decide the color scheme? and the bone spin in the back?

Its the colors I normally use to dye my characters outfits in MMORPGs. I think in general red/black/gold is a pretty solid color scheme since a lot of times MMO outfits textures often look weird when you dye them a different color than their original tint, but using solid colors like black and gold help hide those issues. Red is a great cloth color that goes with those 2 colors.
The bone tail is kind of based off of an armor I had in Vindictus, which had a really cool dragon tail coming from the spine.

This design is wicked. This is your calling... character design. You even see the character's movements, or rather the element's movements... which is quite insightful. All those little tweaks and design intricacies you added are worth it. Arm turbines, how bad ass. My only critique is the bra. It seems out of place with the rest of the western fantasy theme. I feel like it either needs detail, needs to be the bunchy front of the white shirt instead of a bra, or needs to be a different color... but really, that is my only critique.
I don't even remotely care about whatever contest this was for or whether or not you made the finalist cut. This design is intelligent, aesthetic, and powerful. I could see people having a lot of fun cosplaying this. I love it.

Thanks! The bra thing is because I didn't put too much though into it as I believe the custom underwear you buy from the cash shop is supposed to show through it. Although I'm not clear if anything clothing in the game actually does it.
