Happy Thanksgiving everyone!This is just a small preview of what I'm working on. I'm making a new full body character template for Neko Noire, so I can give design her different outfits and also have them on different layers so i can stack them together. Her ears are removable too! The full version will have a full body front and back view with her basic Version 2 outfit. Look forward to that!

Usually I look at eyes and the hair first.. but here, wah, those fluffy puffy ears! I adore them *_*
ANd, to be honest - how can you be that good at drawing hands? Even with a reference I totally mess them up (and even see other accomplished arist stare in horror at their drawn hands) XD

Just a ton of practice. I used to hide hands a lot but realized if I kept doing that I'll never get better. Also its useful to observe how other artists simply things to make hands look a certain way, either more elegant/sexy or dynamic depending on the situation.

yeah, practice practice. I try to challenge myself with one picture a day and one bigger project where I try to use what I learned with the smaller ones.
Just now I got myself to stop using copy paste for the eyes! I used to only mirror the first eye I drew.. now every time I see my asymmetric eyes I feel a twinge of 'maybe I should just copy them..'

I'll release the template later when I'm done, so you can try putting them on yourself if you want. I already have a few designs in mind and I want to use them for a webcomic so there might be issues if I use other people's designs.
