Description
On a sunny beach far away, a space pirate pauses a moment in the shade...she is, afterall, cold blooded, and the heat of the day relentless. What spoils await her in the hold of some unsuspecting interstellar liner? only the fall of dusk will tell..ALMAAAAA for She is pretty damned awesome, i would say.... I love me some crocodilians 8B thanks so much for commissioning me!!! this was a lot of fun, and i hope you dig her!

Well well well, thanks a ton for all the hard work you put into this one!
She looks wonderful here. I absolutely adore your coloring style I should say that right off the bat. The lighting and shading is just fantastic, especially all the little reflections from the water and waves. The sort of gradient lighting going from the brighter side to the shadows really pulls the look together..and everything looks so nice and warm and toasty…a nice difference, compared to the freezing weather here at least.
Her hair, I dunno what you do but I just really love how you do hair in your pictures. Well it is just delightfully swooshy and angular at points at the same time. Her bangs look great, and all the little loose strands on her pony tail just add to her tired look. The coloring on her hair is wonderful as well you know. Her hair looks spot on, widow’s peak and all. The little red tie up there is a perfect finishing touch... you can see how it is wrapped around as well, that is nice.
Her face really shows her exhausted look wonderfully…sleepy eyes and the almost pouty mouth. I just adore her nose for some reason…the nostrils just look so cool XD. Her eyes are really the focus point for the whole picture it seems…the bold irises and the very defined eyelid do that. The tiny little eyelashes are a great touch. And all the little creases and lines around her neck and chin do a great job of showing her weight, even without seeing the rest of her body you can tell what she would look like in terms of build.
Speaking of build, her body is great… it is just so fitting I mean it looks just like it should with the build and proportions. She is delightfully pudgy and a little bit cumbersome. And it does not just show in her torso with her nice little pinches of pudge, but also in her limbs as well. Her arms are thick, her pudgy fingers as well…even shows on her cestus glove, and just works. The legs though, those are fantastic, I dunno what exactly about them it is. Thick, well formed with clearly defined knees and calves… just pulls her build together you know, just like that little final thing about her or something…gah I dunno I am tired, but I just love how the legs look. Her feet are great too, especially those lil’ claws there. And I actually almost forgot to mention her tail… wonderfully lizard… perfect thickness and a lovely job you did with the spikes on it. Looks fantastically crocodilian.
Her armor is great looking, you did a wonderful job on the design. The shoulder pads and the chest plate are great looking, but my eyes always seem to go to her glove, I just really like how that part in particular came out for some reason. I really like all the detail that went into her, all the little clips and buckles. Just looks fantastic.
The background is beautiful as well…the ocean is great, especially where it meets the shore and gets all the little glittering specks of light. The color gradient as it goes off into the distance is very nice as well, really helps pull off the look of it getting deeper as it goes. The soft clouds above really do contribute to that beach/summer day look… of course all the little specks… the palm tree leaves are one of my favorite things in the background. The cell shaded kind of look just looks great, I dunno how you pull all this off.
But thank you again, this is just a wonderful piece of work, so so worth the cash. Thanks so much for the wonderful piece, pleasure doing business with you!

wowwow thank you for that detailed comment man! i really did hope you would like it...i kind of tried something different here, as the last commission of Emile was in a similar vein, and i didn't want to give you the same sort of 'feel' in this one....but i am so glad you liked it!! Alma is a rockin' character....gotta love me some gatooooorrrs, especially fattygirl gators 8B and it's always fun to draw different things like armor and stuff....i'm generally pretty laaaaaame at it. i need to practie more, but i'm glad you approve!
