Description
That bg I HATED...sooooo much detail!I wanted to practice atmospheric perspective, so I thought of this.
Zim wearing hoverboots, and flying them above some city on earth.

This is fantastic!! :'D The hard work on the background paid off, it looks perfectly contrasted to Zim.
And of course, I love the shinyness and slight blurr that makes the motion apparent! Woo!

Thank you. That background was soooo frustrating that I almost wanted to go lazy on it
Funny thing is this is my first attempt at trying to match IZ style completely

that "ohshit" moment when your rocket boots run out of fuel and you're somewhere in the lower stratosphere...

The rest of the fuel was replaced with tuna in that case. Poor zim will then fall endlessly, and screaming insults about the horrible little robot

Wow, this is really neat! The perspective is great and I can really see the motion in the pic. Nicely done .,.

Thank you! It took all day just to get that done. That background was the most hardest background, I've ever drawn

I can imagine. Perspective is my worst enemy so major props on that bg.
But everything else looks pretty awesome too

I had to take classes in perspective to get it to look even close to perspective. I actually have to learn how color changes with perspective too, and it is much difficult than what I used to do with just placing darker colors in the back where the farthest objects are.

An entire course on perspective? Geez, I didn't even know that exist ._. That's pretty much what I do when it comes to coloring lol I can see that your colored the furthest buildings lighter.. I'm curious to the reason of that

It was a 2 week part of my drawing class, and is a subject every teacher in all of my classes want us to learn. The reason for the color to change light like that is called atmospheric perspective. I was focusing on that rather than the two-point perspective I did in the picture. If you look out a window or at mountains you'll see that farther objects are actually lighter, and less detailed far away while closer objects are darker, and much more detailed. It has something to do with the air, or atmosphere I think. Those atmospheric perspective can be a funny thing when it comes to light, so sometimes there can be darker objects just strangely sitting among lighter buildings. It's just a way to make things look a little better and make like things are closer, or farther.

Ooooh okay. Lol derp We had a student teacher who was bent on teaching us how to draw hands. BENT. Wish we'd spent more time on anatomy.
Oh okay because of the stuff floating around in the air, yeah? I'm gonna have to try and remember that if and when I do something with a larger distance I I learn things every time I log on here.

Ah hands I used to hate drawing them! You can learn how to draw anatomy by using a live model better. It helps a lot.
I learned how to draw hands just from using my mom's ex as a model for my homework
Observation is the best way to learn anatomy, and basically almost everything

That's the second option if you don't have access to a model . Looking at pictures with nudes in them will be of use to look at their body structures. Because if a 3d model or a flat tutorial is used, you could possibly accidentally be copying some of their mistakes.

Agreed, though sometimes it's hard to find exactly what I'm looking for until I'm looking for something else :I I did find some great stuff from :devCedar-Seed: though.
That's what I worry about the most when I'm looking off of drawn stuff. Unless it's from a book or something. When I looked at one reference, I wasn't sure if the arms really were supposed to be so long..the forearms middle being matched up to the hips..seemed weird.
