Description
had suggested a eye tutorial, which I could walk through quite fast and easy. I'm still bad at explaining though. So I hope you all understand.Remember everyone, avoid the burn and dodge tool when shading. Those tools are only good for skin or objects in photography, and makes drawings look less vibrant. Use colors.

Yup, it makes things brighter, and great for making highlights shine a bit more.

I usually mess up sometimes due to laziness. But I have quite a few different coloring styles. I like using the hard brush a lot though. I don't like airbrushing things too much

Which isn't bad at all. but then I should weed off on the airbrushing and work more with the harder paintbrush. Either way, you're still getting better with each drawing
I thought I'd note how every time you post a tutorial I see you pointing out little things I usually do a lot when I color, which is interesting.

Yeah, the hard brush makes sharper lines and can make things blend and seem more rounder when using low opacity. Airbrushing takes longer than the hard brush to me, and makes things blurry around the edges.
I really should try going back to charcoal as well. Since my room is a bad place to work with charcoal. I might be getting a studio to work in so that it doesn't get stuck in the floor D:
Since I really would like to post some charcoal art soon.

Ah I see what you mean there. Though it's somewhat the opposite for me; hard brushes longer while airbrush takes no time for me.
Oh wow that'd be awesome! I look forward to seeing more of your charcoal works.
Curious though, do you also use colored charcoal/pastels or just the black charcoals?

I use prisma black vine charcoal, and compressed charcoal. I fail at coloring traditionally and don't own any colored charcoal. I would love to get my hands on white charcoal. My plastic eraser doesn't make lighter areas light enough.

I see, well, at least it helps you're still able to work well with charcoal to still pull out the highlights?
