This was actually a challenge I made for myself by placing a time limit of 4 hours and at least 2 to make the background. If I finished quickly then I still wasn't done until the time limit expired.So during the time I could add small details to everything. I didn't use any fancy brushes, limited myself to the pen tool, filters and all the basic tools as part of the challenge.
This was mainly to test how fast I can make something during a time limit and if I got done too quickly I wasn't finished until the time limit was reached. If I was too slow and not finished and it reached the deadline then it was automatically finished, as if it was something that needed to be turned in by a deadline.
Speed and deadlines are something I'm going to have to deal with in college and if I ever get a job, so I plan to learn to draw better and fast through out the year.
So for now here's this okay drawing of xon doing the puppy eyes and trying to get something from Crome. Crome does not know what cute is and neither does xon, so crome isn't really effected. He would rather kill Xon instead.

They actually don't know each other in their actual stories. They aren't related at all but if Crome had met Xon, Crome would think xon is a nuisance and Xon would think Crome was his friend.

I don't really know if my opinion counts here because I suck at perspective and at placing two people in the same picture, but Xon looks like he's floating. If he was standing and if he was the same height as Crome, the horizon line should "cut" them at exactly the same point [link] (I think it should be at more or less the middle of their foreheads). But considering Xon is smaller, if he was standing the horizon line could cut him at a higher point (like reaching the top of his head). Since he's kneeling, his head should be somewhere around the same height as Crome's neck, perhaps a tad higher...

I've found millions of tutorials, mixed up my different techniques with them, and slowly is improving a little more with each drawing. However I think I still suck

Hee hee hee, it's too bad, most humans would be knocked over by the enigmatic cuteness that Xon is displaying! The background looks great! But it doesn't blend with the style of the foreground characters...

Xon might what a cookie from Crome who doesn't have one and in this picture they might have crashed their ships. Somehow becoming stranded and stuck with each other.
