I believe Rare took the Ingram MAC 10 or MAC 11 (possibly with a suppressor fitted to it) for the sound effect and modified it. Not 100% on that, though. The real Steyr TMP actually sounds pretty good on full auto. If you get the chance to fire one on full auto with a machine gun rental (in US most likely) go for it!
