Description
She splits in half from the waist up and flies around hunting for babies after sundown.Inspired by Arnold Arre's book Mythology Class . I've been re-reading my old copy of it these days.

Yeap. They're called "manananggal" and they hunt and eat babies or innards or some other stuff. Lots of other versions out there.

i'm pinoy, so i didn't have any need to study philippine myths. i just knew it. :B
but yeah, i know that deal. i've come across some american artists that have drawn some philippine mythological creatures and it's quite nice to know that people of other cultures had some interest in our own culture.
