The "petals" are actually aluminum wire of a thicker gauge. I hammered them on both ends so I can stick one end into the pipe fastener while the other end sticks out like petals.

You might recognize the other stuff I put in there lol There are some sewing supplies... shirt button rivets, jewellery bead, hair clip, etc
