Hiro is always happy when Nuummite is near him. Even if he acts pouty, he's always glad Nuum is one step away.
They rarely get into real fights because they're both very understanding towards each other's needs and feelings.
It's a perk for knowing eachother for thousands of years and all.
But even when they barely knew eachother and Nuum was kinda more of a dick he still never intended on hurting Hiro in any way.

Only Hiro has really seen it though, Hiro is the one guy who actually stops to listen to Nuummite. And for that he has so much respect for him.
Nuum feels totally comfortable around Hiro, and Hiro to him.
