when I started playing with this style I was looking for something very fast and simple. And at that moment I thought that straight line is more simple than curved one and also it takes much less time to draw something with straight lines because you don't need to worry about making a really nice looking curve for every shape. And lucky I also really love low poly 3d models, thanks to that it was very easy for me to find the right way to define some complex shapes with a couple of straight lines, if that makes any sense!

I like the effect / theme in this image ... reminds me of a modern camouflage pattern (which I said reminded me of Cubism).

This is beautiful! How did you get the slightly textured edges on everything? It really makes the whole piece feel crisp without being industrial or mechanical looking. Almost looks like traditional art!

Thanks a lot! I think that it might be the noise effect. I use it quite a lot lately and as you say it creates this slightly textured look, and also hides tons of ugly stuff when I paste so much gradients on every single thing.
