Description This is a color script showing the major arcs of a story. Beginning, rising actions, twist, climax, falling action, conclusion.

It's been a while, I know. Just focusing on personal stuff at the moment and taking a step away from art to calm down a bit. Please be patient with me Thanks everyone for all the kind comments and for the DD too!

Now this is a wonderfully executed layout. It's beautifully captivating, and interesting to boot. Your use of color is really well done, useing the entire range of colors to give this emotion and character flows really well. Your over all composition moves just the way discribe, it achieves what you wanted, the rise in action, twists and turns, climax and ending. Now I love what you did with that, I love this calm feel at the starting line in the dessert, but feel a little uneasy small the road is, and how open the landscape it, because you would never know if you drift to hard or dodge those rocks. I also really enjoy the mute green through it all. Thought the tunnel does seem to be a litte more calming racing in it (the background may be a little lost from that point of view of the person) The forest scene would really through for a loop (pun). Dispite the wonder fantasy feel that the color brings out, I say it works really well with the track, casting shadows and tricking you the trees all around. But I simply do love the Climax of the lava area, and the broken bridge, you did a great job informing us that this is a death trap and the heat that causes things to decay. And then coming to a emediate cool and calm ending, know that the worst is over, unless you are second place. Now some could say that that is a little clichΓ© to do, but I think because of the design, colors and texture, it doesn't matter, I'll defend that choice. The texture really makes everything move great, which I say adds to the over mood of danger. Your amount of detail is left unquestioned or unwarrented. I'd love to see the story this is being applied to.

First, may I say that this is a fascinating concept? I've never seen anything like it. The scenes themselves don't do much in telling the narrative- instead, it is the colors (and shapes) take the viewer on a journey.

Vision: The concept is brilliant and well executed. In terms of vision, I think a literal escalation and some strong dynamic diagonals would give a more action-like twist to the escalating action segment. Given the horizontal nature of the piece, the composition tends to something more sedate. Strong verticals and diagonals will give the piece an alert or dynamic feel, respectively. Looking at the directionality and focal points in the composition might add to the rhythm.

Originality: Again, you've interpreted the concept of telling a story through art in a thoroughly original way. Well done.

Technique: One of my favorite things is how the colors carry through each segment, but take on the role of a dominant color or an accent depending on the scene. I think some more variation in the values would help the piece. If you stand back and squint, a lot of the values look very similar. Maybe you could experiment with more darks in places other than the road- this will add to the texture as well. The 'twist' with the forest is a really nice example of value and texture variation. Perhaps some darker shadows in the others would make the saturated colors stand out even more. I know that sometimes making it darker would mean sacrificing the saturation, but maybe some little dark shadows will really make it pop. But really, it shows a very strong technique and style.

Impact: This is a very impactful piece. It's striking and conveys a compelling concept. It's exceedingly well done. Bravo.

All components of a story in a single image ...
This is the first time I see something like that, is just wonderful! n..n
I lost trying to follow the thread of the story at first, but the description helped me to understand how it develops.
The colors are really bright and are very well located, differing notably one scene from another. I think that they go well with the same scene they represent: a green color is fine if it is to represent a peaceful scene such as the beginning or end, while a darker color and strong like red looks good when representing a climax. I really liked that detail. Anyway it's just my opinion.

And congrats for your DD! n..n
