So like promised, I finished my design for Dave! Oh god how do you draw flames...I really want to thank the people who came and watched the livestream and gave me suggestions, even though it was a really short stream. Also thank you and for the suggestions. Those goddamn shoes...
By the way I think I might be streaming next time I draw a character design for this post apocalyptic AU of ours again, I'll let you guys know on my journal and on Tumblr [link]

P.S: Yes that's prettymuch a shishkebab from Fallout he's holding. Got the idea while talking with on my Journal.

that'd be sick but unfortunately I'm not in charge of drawing Tavros and, well, I think the others working on the AU are not too aware of Fallout, I'm pretty much the only one on the team who ever played it (and I have to be honest here: I don't own it, I played it at a friend's place). However the other designs I'll come up with might have a bit of that universe in them as well because let's face it Fallout's universe is really cool.

I imagine wielding a flaming sword reverse style would be awkward, not to mention dangerous since flames tend to travel up. Maybe Dave's so awesome the flames know better than to mess with him? :0

no its really dangerous. I don't think he'll use it reverse style, but even so, it's a pretty damn dangerous sword and I don't doubt that our writer will make him mess up at least once with that sword.

Then again, all swords are dangerous anyway o_O
If Dave still has his leet skills from his duels with Bro then he'll get the hang of it quickly, I assume.

I'm pretty sure someone out there actually at least TRIED to make one of those. I mean. What is there that was not attempted at least once.
Yeah he should get the hang of it at one point, but it would be hilarious (and ironic) if he just plain sucked at it at first. It's probably a very unbalanced weapon thanks to the gas tank (which is too small to contain enough gas to make it last longer than a minute but shhhh technicalities) and the radiator-thingy so it's very likely to be a pretty awkward sword to use.

Well to fix the balance problems there could just be a gas tank on his back or something if you really wanna copy the shishkebab |3 But the way this sword is I don't think it would be used like a katana or short sword, maybe more like a claymore or greatsword.

yeah I was thinking the same actually, like two-handed or something since it's probably a pretty heavy sword. Well okay katanas are technically wielded double-handed as well but you know what I mean. And I don't want to completely copy Fallout either, I mean it's a really awesome game but I want to leave some place to some somewhat original stuff.

Yeah, while Katana's /can/ be wielded with one hand, Greatswords almost always need to be wielded with both, unless you're superhuman.;
Hmh, you have a point. Are any of the Sburb mechanics going to be in the story? Or is it going to be more realistic to an extent? Because he could just alchemize something with a nearly limitless fuel supply.

I think we intends to use part of the Sburb mechanics, but mostly the game'll be corrupted so some stuff will not be fully functional so that we can add a bit more of realism (and a lot of sadstuck). No more alchemiter, I think the writer wants them to build their own weapons so they will start off with shabbier weapons than the ones I'm drawing.

I see. I can sorta visualize that happening in some alternate universe (and after seeing alpacastuck, anything is possible) And that sucks :/ the alchemiter was awesome. I can imagine Jade and Dave have a head start seeing as how they both have weapons all over their house already.
