So like promised, I finished my design for Dave! Oh god how do you draw flames...I really want to thank the people who came and watched the livestream and gave me suggestions, even though it was a really short stream. Also thank you and for the suggestions. Those goddamn shoes...
By the way I think I might be streaming next time I draw a character design for this post apocalyptic AU of ours again, I'll let you guys know on my journal and on Tumblr [link]

ufghjhfdfcgh I love the dirt on his jeans and shoes, but I prefer the attention on putting oil/dirt/burnt on his blade! Stylishly killing zombies. It also make sense that he's so heavily dressed for the situation since what's happening to him.
Also, I will forever love Dave because of how you color his shades

Flames can burn all colors man, just do what feels right til you find what looks right, you know? And in art, the flames are whatever color fits the mood. If you want to think of what to do in terms of the actual composition, look at some tattoo flash, get an idea of how to depict it, but you got to make up your own ideas on it too.
