The deputy looked towards the top of the water, the sky and sun shining brightly above looked like twinkling stars on the surface. No matter how much he tried to swim up and get himself out, it seemed so far away. He was so tired…

Was this really the life that the stars cursed him with? Forcing him to spend moons underground starving and alone, only to be dragged down under once again? Was this his destiny? At Least…he could be with his mother again.
