Description The trees are whispering.
They do that, this time of year
When the cloud-fleet finally turns for other ports
And lets the sun shine through.

The trees are whispering.
Sometimes I think you whisper with them
But I don't know
I could be (going) crazy.

The crows are yelling.
They're angry, I think
Maybe angry that you're not here
Or it could just be me.

The pages are muttering.
Muttering forgotten words, discontent
At their abandonment.
It's not important.

The house is groaning.
Groaning at the absence of you
It talks to me, I'm all it has left
As if I could help.

The ground is silent.
It swallowed you up and
Let me stay here.
Now it has nothing to say to me.

All these sounds, all these silences
They are empty
Since the absence of your sound, your silence
You left—and took the music with you
