It was sunny day in Robot City, so Starbot was wondering what she could do.
- It's warm outside, so we should do something fun! But what. - she said.
Suddenly she saw a football match on the TV, so that gave her idea.
"We're gonna have a football match!" - robot thought.
She decided to tell her friends about this idea.
- It's going to be the best match ever! - golden robot exclaimed.
- Well, I was working on an invention, but I suppose that a football match could do. - Infinibot replied.
- What is that invention?
- It's a lie detector! You can try it out if you want. - green robot said.
- I like cheesecake! - Starbot exclaimed.
- No lie detected. - said lie detector.
- I am purple! - she lied.
- Lie detected. You are not purple. - detected lie detector.
- Wow, it's so amazing! - golden robot shouted.
- Thank you. - Infinibot thanked.
So the robots went on the football field.
- Another sleep missed. - muttered Moonbot.
- Oh, come on Moonbot, it'll be fun! - cheered up Starbot.
- Starbot, I am afraid that I am not very good at this football thing. - Shootstarbot complained.
- You don't have to be good, it's all about fun. - golden robot replied.
- Let's pick a teams! I will be the leader of a black team! - she announced.
- So you'll be goalkeeper? - asked Shootstarbot.
- Alright then. - she replied.
- So I guess I will be leader of a blue team? - Infinibot asked.
- If you wish. - Starbot responded.
First, it was Starbot's turn.
- I choose Rainbot!
- But what if i fail, Starbot? - he asked.
- Don't worry, it's just a game.
Then Infinibot's turn came.
- You just chose your best friend. You have to think strategically, I choose Moonbot, because she's very calm and wise. - he said.
Again it was Starbot's turn.
- I choose Heartbot, because she's so nice! - Starbot announced.
Infinibot had the next turn.
- Not how it works, but okay. Out of all choices left, I think Whatbot is the best option.
Then came time for Starbot.
- Grandmabot, come over here! You are very active, so you are good choice!
Infinibot's turn came around.
- You can come over here, Shootstarbot, I guess.
Shootstarbot didn't like condescending tone of green robot, but was pretty happy with their team.
- It's cool that we are together on this team, Whatbot. - they said.
- I am happy too. - white robot replied.
So Robots' team were formed:
Starbot's team (Black Team):Starbot,Rainbot,Heartbot,Grandmabot
Infinibot's team (Blue Team):Infinibot,Moonbot,Whatbot,Shootstarbot.
- Before we begin the game, I think it's worth explaining rules of the game. - Starbot said.
- You just need to kick the ball to the goal. What more rules there can be? - Shootstarbot asked.
- More than you think. - Starbot replied.
- For example you can't use your claws, if you are not a goalkeeper like me, and you can't use your powers to advance in the game... - she kept on explaining.
But Shootstarbot didn't want to listen to this huge piece of information, they thought it was rather boring.
"All those rules are so complicated and boring, I'd rather cheat than listen to them." - they thought.
So the match begun to start and players were in their positions.
- Hey Shootstarbot, catch! - Whatbot said.
Ball was in the orange robot's foot. Suddenly they got a very unfair idea.
"I won't be breaking rules, if no one will find out." - they thought.
- I wish for this to be a goal. - they whispered.
That wish came true and Shootstarbot was very proud of themself.
- Shootstarbot, you are impossible! - Starbot yelled.
The match went on, even Rainbot scored a goal and Starbot congratulated him. But Shootstarbot kept cheating and nobotty found out about that because they were wearing a shirt, so their magic wasn't visible. The match ended up with score 64:3.
- Shootstarbot, I thought you were bad at football! - Starbot was surprised.
- Eh, it's not a big deal and I totally didn't use my magic to score all these goals! - orange robot lied.
- Still, that's a little a bit suspicious. - noticed Infinibot.
But robots ignored Infinibot's suspicions and cheered for Shootstarbot.
- That's why you are called Shootstarbot! Because you are our shooting star in football! - Starbot exclaimed.
Infinibot decided to whisper to her about his supposition.
- 64 goals in one match? It's not normal. I think Shootstarbot was cheating.
- Oh, really? I thought they were doing so good. Well, you have a lie detector, so you can use it.
- That's great idea, Starbot.
So Infinibot went back to Shootstarbot, to persuade them to come use his machine.
- Hey, Shootstarbot, would you like to use my lie detector?
- Of course! - they replied.
So two robots went to Infinibot's house to use the lie detector.
- I am unicorn! - they said.
- Lie detected. You are not unicorn. - lie detector detected.
- Would you mind telling something about today's match? - green robot challenged.
- There's no really need to.
- Lie detected. There's something you should say something about today's match.
- Grass on the field was really green!
- Lie detected. You should tell something else.
- Did you cheat? - Infinibot asked.
- Of course, I didn't cheat. - orange robot said.
- Lie detected. You cheated at today's match.
- Infinibot, I think your machine is broken because it's saying that I cheated!
- Odd, it was right in every other case.
- Okay, I give up, I cheated and I am sorry for that. I shouldn't do that, it's just that all the rules are so complicated and boring, so I thought that cheating would make the game more fun. And I am still not good at football. - they explained.
- No lie detected.
- It's okay, Shootstarbot, we can have a rematch tomorrow. - green robot replied.
So the robots went to have a rematch tomorrow on a football field.
- Everybotty, I am sorry that I cheated. - Shootstarbot said.
- No hard feelings. - Starbot replied.
Then match begun and robots had a good time. Shootstarbot scored a goal, but without using their power and they found out that playing fair is more fulfilling and satisfying than cheating. It was a good day in the end!
