Description
Hopefully, if I did my job right, you people from Chicago may know where this scene is set. It's subtle, but not too subtle.Related content

The limited palette you've chose really works quite well here! Awesome work!

This is really funny for me. I had to do the same assignment for my first comic class in MCAD. I like what you've done with the "alien" its a fun piece.

I adore the color! But the lines are so wonderful as well. They seem so alive and full of motion.

Those colors are so great. And even with the snow falling everywhere, the compositions are totally clear. QUIK! Name as many different perspectives as you can! Long, med, close, super-close, aerial, worm's eye, overhead, etc.

Amazing! The panels are so fluid and action packed without being overwhelming and the colors are so vibrant...I need to stop before this becomes an even worse run-on sentence! In short, I love all three pages.

Thanks dude! It's a bit larger in real life of course. I was rushing toward the end and scale went right out the window.

Right, I have to say this... the way you used the 'squiggly-line of TIME' to push the narrative is just genius. First three panels just knock me out.. and the way you fill everything with so much information but it never seems crowded or anal-retentive is totally educational.

Thanks bud. I'm pretty sure I got that from Will Eisner or somebody. I learned a ton from Eisner's Sequential story book.

Ah yeah, that book is amazing. I have that and the Bendis/Maleev Daredevils by my bedside permanently and I try to absorb the greatness.

Oh yeah? Move those Bendis/Maleev books under the bed and set a sweet sweet copy of Electra Assassin by Miller/Sienkiewicz down in it's place.

Man I need to buy that book. I keep going into Waterstone's bookstore to read more of it before I get noticed and kicked out. The things Sienkiewicz does with colour are just amazing.

I wish I would do a 3 page story too. I wouldn't mind coloring you again. Maybe something a little more simple than the giant BJewls thing.

What I really love about how you color is your extreme lighting, like on the next to the last panel. It looks so organic, but in a not-of-this-earth sorta way. That and the way you do atmospheric perspective is just sick, sick, sick.

When I was a comic book colorist I use to work in the big black IBM building (next to the twin corn cob towers) and had an office overlooking Wacker Drive. So what do I win?

Thank you!
Yeah, I always wanted to do a giant art book with a comic section in it with oversized pages. A big whopping book. I just have no idea how you get that done or with whom.
