flying from Rotterdam to London City airport this week, came across some nice sights.. somewhere south of London. full spectrum converted camera, with some colour manipulation in Lightroom..Related content

thanks! this one was shot with a converted Nikon V1. I've had others converted, ao a Nikon D300. I like the Nikon 1 cameras for their small size. if you care for them, I'd recommend a V2 which is easier to use than a V1 (pretty awkward control/menu system). you may be able to get one cheap, second hand. check out groups like Infrared-People and Infrared-Club for inspiration! cheers, rob

Thanks. I think the V series is sold under J here in SA. In which case I should get one at a good price as Nikon SA no longer sells the 1 series here. Should be lots of disgruntled sellers

hm, the V and J are different series. the V1 and V2 have an electronic viewfinder, which is very helpful for IR/full spectrum shooting: you'll see what you get.. and yes, Nikon seems not to care a lot about the 1 series anymore. the lenses are fine (10-30, 30-110, 18.5 mm) and inexpensive. good luck!
