He looks pretty different here, very much like a knight or a Paladin. That's what I hoped to see him become later in the show, (or something like that, at least).

Thanks! Eric was one of the most "flawed" characters, but that made me think he could have one of the more radical changes.

I might like this if his center body was colored yellow like the iconic show.
This seems like a large departure from the character as he looks more like natural nobility here and very fearless, certainly a possible moment in the far future.
But still beautifully painted, love the flames and the mountain background.

As with Sheilla, I tried to imagine the most badass version of Eric.
I think that eventually, he would become courageous.
After all, he is the one who should protect everyone in times of need.
Sadly, that doesn't mean that he would be less arrogant!

Yes he does offer protection but only in the form of defense not offense, thus never able to resolve the threat and truly protect. His protection only buys time of great value not actually protect by resolving the threat. But yes, this bad ass version is certainly a possible moment in the far future.
If he DID radically get altered into a higher courage it actually would be natural for him to also no longer be arrogant, as the arrogance stems from his fears. The arrogance would be dissipated by that patience which came from his new courage. If they ever did that story, YOU should be the one to draw it!
Just you doing covers for such a comic book would be awesome.

i allways thought why he as a cavalier had no sword
he could have taken one from there enemies the have taken down ore the one from the dragons graveyard.

Well that wasn't his psyche and characterization. His personality was closer to cowardice so he never had the mentality of attacking and being a fighter, thus the shield given to him as one who is more defensive. A sword doesn't even occur to him because he is not aggressive, he was practically the comic relief of the show and we could relate to him easily, very much like the doctor in Lost in Space.

No not Doctor Who, the all time classic sci fi show titled "LOST IN SPACE".
They even did a nice modern re-make with William Hurt and Matt Leblanc. And the legendary Gary Oldman plays the Doctor!

Thanks! The original had its limitations, mainly because it was a cartoon. It couldn't have many details. I always like to think what the design could be if budget and medium weren't concerns.
