Thanks! I was surprised at the response I got to this. I was just playing around, trying to do something different from the way I've used this coloring in the past.

Thanks! I have used Orbital Traps a lot already, so I was trying to do something different.

That's so great, I suggest you enter that in every challenge/contest you can. I like how the squares are kind of shiny, excellent colours and shading!

Thank-you! The contest is to challenge us to use the Orbital Traps coloring algorhythm, which I've used a lot already, so I had to think of something new to do with it.

Good luck with that, new ideas are best and most freshest when daydreaming about something and then having the idea just wander in by itself

You're right. Some of my best ideas come in the middle of the night when I'm trying to go back to sleep. Other times, when I'm stumped, I'll leave the computer and go do something else, and an idea comes to me when I stop trying to force it and shift my thoughts to what I'm doing.

I draw best when I'm really tired and woozy. strange, isn't it? I wish school was like that

My son is like that. He says he's at his most creative when he's been without sleep for a long time.

You have a son? Wow... Thank god for Deviant having adults, sometimes I feel it's just owned by teenagers Going without sleep is brilliant, it allows your tired mind to focus in a hazy way, that tends to make everything warped and original. I go to bed at about 7.30, wake up just after midnight and write poems and such whilst rubbing sleep from my eyes. Works wonders!!

Actually, I have four sons so I'm really old. I wish I could get away with sleeping so little. I get really sick to my stomach on less than 6 hours. I think having teenagers and adults together on this site is perfect. When I was young there were so many professional artists who took the time to encourage me and answer my questions. That's how art has been passed down through the generations for thousands of years.

Wow, what's it like having children? I can't have kids, and it's so hard to adopt with the massive waitings lists and all these days. It must be tiring having kids, but do you find it rewarding?

Very rewarding. I wasn't supposed to be able to have any because I had endometriosis, so I was really surprised with the first pregnancy. My niece had the same thing wrong with her and tried adopting for years. She finally adopted a boy and girl from Romania. They both turned out to be terrific kids.

I love the look of sheet-like patterns and how they are swirling. Colours, textures and depth are awsome. Best of luck and great work Kathleen.
