Description

---------------------------------------------------------------------

"Zamasu seeks beauty. Yet look at his body, it's distorted by hatred and rage. I wonder… Is this really the result that you craved?"

I support Zamas' decisions, but I admit that the outcome of his contrariety between his mortal and immortal forms (read: his corrupt/grotesque form) wasn't well planned, and even winning the fight, would've meant an obstacle for him. Zamas sought perfection and justice, how would that be possible with a corrupted body like his? How to accept that his figure and values had been disfigured in this way? Zamas claims to have been aware of what it meant to have merged with Goku's body, but I think that, deep down, he felt frustrated and desperate, not only for the aesthetic inconvenience but for all that it meant: the rebelliousness of the system to his convictions, his inability to have carried his plan on his terms, and the eternal memory of his mistakes scarred on his body.

I love this character so much, he allows me to philosophize like anyone else.

To me, it's feels like Zamasu has also gotten a "split-personality" after he merged and his half side became deformed. It's hard to make out what is being seen here.
I don't know why, but I kinda like it when Zamasu cried at the moment in the anime. I would've probably felt sorry for him if it was me.

I don't think it's a split personality case, but more like a demented state. He was deranged by the frustration of being unable to defeat Goku and Vegeta, and that desperation seems to have materialized in his own body. In the end, he felt so desperate about his desire for universal peace that he couldn't even control his power. It's so sad...

About the cry, I felt bad about him even before that, lol. His methods weren't the best ones but Zamasu's dream was quite reasonable to me... Until now, I think he deserved to be heard and understood a little, instead of just being beaten up. So much injustice for this misunderstood villain.

¿o no?

No sabría decirlo a ciencia cierta.

The true price of his misguided justice- being an abomination that’s more monstrous than any mortal he looked down on.

A rare case of visual symbolism that isn't elaborated upon in Dragon Ball that's usually very blunt in its messages through words alone.

Love it but i do wish the Present Zamasu could have redeemed himself and helped the others fight his future counterparts

RocioZero In reply to MergedZamasuVA [2018-10-27 17:19:11 +0000 UTC]

It would've been awkward to fight against himself. And present Zamasu wasn't really strong, so I don't think that would've made a difference.

MergedZamasuVA In reply to RocioZero [2018-10-27 18:38:02 +0000 UTC]

Well future Zamadu was still as strong as Present zamasu it was just his immortality that helped fight the goku and company

It's not explicitly said, but I think future Zamasu is stronger than the present one, and that's why he can fight Goku without a problem. At least that's what they show when Goku gives the first punch to him, like he's noticing the difference of power.

Actually in the manga it's stated that he's as strong as SSJ2 or we able as Goku tells him

RocioZero In reply to MergedZamasuVA [2018-11-03 21:54:01 +0000 UTC]

Yes, but it's not stated how strong was present Zamasu there, so we don't have a point of comparison. This arc is quite different in the manga, especially regarding power levels; not even Black is a challenge for Goku or Vegeta. The only source to compare present and future Zamasu strength is the anime.

I understand.
I had read most of the times from other people he's a psychopath. But I beg to differ, he just have his own morals.
And he's not even far from the truth. Humanity is a mistake. We slaughter each other just because of a stupid piece of land yet we are supposed to be civilized and intelligence.
We let others starve, heck hospital if you got no money they don't care about you.
So I agree with Zamasu's ideals.
In my dreams he came back to life. 😁

RocioZero In reply to DragonBall-Norlight [2018-10-27 17:51:45 +0000 UTC]

A psychopath wouldn't care about justice or moral values. He just has very deep ideals.

Some time ago I read some fans complaining about how Zamasu's plans weren't so bad but he shouldn't have judged all mortals without knowing them. Then someone compared it to us crushing ants —we don't stop to think if they're worth, because we're a superior species and don't care for those bugs. Then of course a god like Zamasu wouldn't care about us. I also share most of his misanthropic beliefs. And of course he's alive for me! ♥

Oh well, healthcare is free in my country xD but yeah, we're a despicable race.

DragonBall-Norlight In reply to RocioZero [2018-10-27 18:16:34 +0000 UTC]

I'm pretty sure of that too.
If the bug I come across is unusual I won't kill it but I'm not going to cry for every ant I killed. It's not an ant that's going to change the future.

Actually I wouldn't say he doesn't cares about us. He just wants to end our foolish destructive, aggressiveness and mostly not to do time travel.
Sadly health care isn't free in Canada if you gotz a sickness like cancer.
Trust me, I have my mother broke and my sister isn't even able to get health care.

RocioZero In reply to DragonBall-Norlight [2018-11-03 17:46:02 +0000 UTC]

In the manga, Gowasu use a similar analogy, comparing mortals to worms, as both help nature in some way. But Zamasu didn't agree we helped at all, lol. I meant he doesn't care about us like we're not worthy of him to judge us at all, we're just an inferior and problematic species.

Dang, health care is a mess when it comes to diseases like cancer, I'm sorry for your people there. :c

Ahh I see. I haven't read much of the manga.
Well there is more than one Zamasu.
Well we did do more damage than good so, he's not so wrong.

Yeah. Health care sucks.
