I really like the way you did the background, it looks a little chalk pastelly. The emotion really comes through too.

I think the photoshop brushes were gouache and oil paint effect (wet paint types), and Pencil brushes for the clouds and stuff. The bgs in steven universe are always so beautifully coloured and geometrical, so it was fun exercise to try and copy one of them.
