A-Ko and B-ko discover a less violent form of combat.

I haven’t done any “Project A-ko” fanart in ages. This particular piece has been on my artistic to-do list since 2006. I think I had my mind set on doing this in acrylics because at the time I conceived the idea, I was less confident of my photoshop skills.

I haven’t really used paints in over a year, though, and working on this reminded me why. It took several hours and layers of paint before I convinced myself this wasn’t going to be a total disaster. I was so certain that my choice of media had been a terrible mistake, halfway through, I redrew the entire thing with the intention of doing it over again in photoshop. I could still do that; it would be interesting to compare and contrast. But I’m not displeased with how this turned out.
