Rocky had alot of friends before Veldin was attacked. Most of them got away during the attack and moved to other places. Axel was one of them. Rocky was reunited with him in Metropolis. Axel's parents are wealthy and helped him get a good place to live so he has a huge penthouse of his own. Axel offered to let Rocky stay with him since he had so much extra room. Before that, Rocky was staying with Ratchet on the Phoenix starship while he monitors the galaxy for danger. Ratchet decided that it would be alright since he wanted Rocky to focus on normal life for a while so he can finish high school. That way, he could avoid becoming something like a mechanic.Axel was very happy about it since he and Rocky used to be best friends.
Axel is an 18-year-old freshman in college.

Not really. "Ishi" is part of it. That and he's a wolf too. Lots of colliding details is all. I just found it funny. ^^

*rubs chin* Hmmmm, yes, he does seem like come from a wealthy family... Funny how everyone seems to have at least one wealthy friend. Will we be seeing more of Rocky's friends as well as him? Or maybe even like a group photo or class picture? It's interesting to see the whole gang... But very nice and beatiful work as ever Mr.Lombax.
It's side characters like this that make a hero, a hero.
And you just gave me the idea to do a fan art for you too. XD Man I'm really out of it. lol

You'll most likely see more of Axel. He'll be a pretty important character in my comics. (I keep saying that I'll make comics but I haven't gotten the ambition to do so.) I've also been thinking of drawing a group picture.

Myrr *twitch* o.0 The muscle part near the pocket of the pants sorta looks like something oddly-shaped is in the pocket. But really, the body looks pretty proportional to itself all over. If I didn't have stronger thestuffinsideme, this picture would probably make me gay XD ...but meh not gay.

you have a pretty good idea of shape. it takes a lot of challenge to make sure the shapes are right (something i have trouble with)

Wow! Loving the extra detail on Axel, he's one hunky piece of fur. I love that outffit too, it really suits him. I like the sound of his back story with Rocky and Axel's friendship there too. Nice work, hope you do a colour version of him sometime
