Description
Ok fellow deviant asked me weather I could do him a favour - he told me he was considering assembling a selection of poetry and wished for a cover image for it essentially he just told me that he would like something based on a colour wheel or elements after a little discussion and some deliberation I made a suggestion of perhaps a heart shape? - he told me to go with it so I did - this would be the resultsEssentially trying to incorporate a colour wheel so to speak And a variety of elements
Firstly typing incorporate colours I picked the basic spectrum and tweaked it to have a list of 9 including a few more that would phase better from one to the next lol
*White
*Cyan
*Blue
*Violet
*Pink/red
*Orange
*Yellow/brown
*Green
*Turquoise
Then tried to associate relevant 4 main elements
*Fire
*Water
*Earth
*Air
Then including
*Wood
*Metal
*Ice
I needed 9 so to finish randomly
*Love
* Time/space
Then I decided to look to older pieces of mine to edit or use parts of to assemble the whole shape needed.
the images used to create this are as follows
1. Feather-heart [link]
2.Faint Impression [link]
3. Droplets [link]
4. Slinky II [link]
5. Fluffy Heart [link]
6. Light quartet II [link]
7. Almost Driftwood [link]
8. Oh so small β¦ I [link]
9. Illuminated II [link]

This is really rather lovely, I feel. Great array of colours and elements present, and somehow the hard boundaries between each section still allow the pieces to flow from one to the other. I love the transition between the bottom edges of the two leftmost pieces in particular, but it all works really nicely. The shape and composition of the whole are very nice, but there's still plenty to look at within each section individually, too. Very nice work !

thankyou so much for the praise here, the trick was amongst my photographs finding g ones that i could fit well enough together to form the whole when edited together e- it did look a little bland but the accent edges filter on photoshop saved me
though looking back at this now i think i forget some of the images i used for each section

Your mentioning photography makes me realise I haven't done any in quite a while- I should get back into it, methinks.
I think you certainly picked appropriate images here; the whole thing meshes very well and the individual sections are great when taken individually, too .
Accent edges is another filter you've mentioned that I've never used . I fear I need to go through the graphics programs I have here and see what I can do with them that I haven't tried before...

lol well they were filters i never used so much myself originally i usually just used the basics ans the brush tools for some shading of images for a friend - it was only recently i decided to branch out a little more and see what i could do with photoshop - i did have elements version 3 but i uninstalled it because most of the tools i use i have in just Adobe PHotoshop elements so i see no need cluttering up my comp any further atm.
i try not to over use things like accented edges sometimes it can add to a piece sometimes it will not work - i often choose to use it subtly ( likewise i favor the cut-out filter quite a bit.
as for programs - ireally don't use much more than apophysis (which is still very new to me) and photoshop i still find different things to try with photoshop even now!

Absolutely perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I love how you let the natural shapes of the images define the edges of the heart This is great
