I've always wanted to learn how to do caricature-style portraits. not because I'm a huge fan of the style really, but because I think it's so fascinating how you can capture the likeness of someone so well even in such a distorted cartoon. I think it's neat how you can even get sort of a 'hyper-reality', where the drawing seems almost more lifelike than a photograph, because it captures so much personality. drawing caricatures is also great practice for learning the muscle structure of the face as well.

so I drew caricatures of the HIMYM guys for practice.
