Description
Okay, if you're familiar with the "sequel comic" Power of the Dark Crystal, you'd know that Jen and Kira end up in charge of a new civilization of Gelflings. Except... where did they all come from? I'm pretty sure Jen and Kira didn't repopulate all by themselves (since, you know... ew).Maybe when the Crystal was healed and the other drained creatures got their essence back, perhaps it started to revive the other victims who were drained entirely? Of course, that would be utterly traumatizingΒ to suddenly reappear decades after you were liquified into soul juice, but it's better than the alternative!
So, here we have Jen, Kira, and Fizzgig, exploring the Castle after the UrSkeks have been reunited and gone home. Down in the catacombs, they find a terrified Gelfling wandering around in a state of shock. At first, the only information they can get from the poor girl is that her name is Mira, and that the Skeksis are to blame for her situation. Fortunately, she's in good hands, and with any luck, they'll have more friends around soon!
I'm pretty sure this wouldn't really happen, but it's a fun theory, and I really like stories where characters end up in the future after being stuck in suspended animation. I was also partially inspired by the ending of Fullmetal Alchemist, and the state Alphonse's body was in after he got it back.

Interesting Theory that was never fully explained I just assumed that they were in hiding! and a mass exodus theory was hinted at in the novels, Great picture

If it came to that, it'll feel like... "Raising of the gelfling"Β or that series resurrection. Yeah that's a cool possibility.Β Another theory is that the majority of the gelfling performed a mass exodus across the sea and journey to another continent on Thra to escape the skeksis and thus they prospered.

Yeah, I like the mass exodus theory too. The Sifa probably stand the best chance as is, since they live at sea anyway.
