This was originally my opening for my comic, but I went back summer of 2017 and redid it, in which it was broken down to three pages.

Update! Felt that the beginning was a bit to shaky and sketchy so I have added some more text to the first pages. I hope to come back to them one day and give them the treatment they deserve.

This is the story of the Wight People. The characters, setting and story have develed in my mind for some time and are now putting it to paper. My influence is a mix of Norwegian folklore, folklore in general, fantasy, sci fi and the unknown.

The six first pages are a bit "shaky" because I had not found my footing yet. I will go back and set them all to one standard. The six first pages are made in Sketchbook pro for the iPad and took ages to ink and color. The rest is drawn and painted in Pro create for the iPad, which was a lot better at the job. Not to begin a review, but Sketchbook pro had "pressed" to much stuff in to one app, but not fine tuned it. Pro create have less functions, but every function is perfected.

Hope you will enjoy the story

I must admit, I got really confused by the paneling in this first page x) The arrows helped a lot though! Still, if you're ever gonna redo this page, I actually think splitting this page up into maybe two pages (one where he walks through the forest and spots her, and another where she attacks him) would help ease the reader into what's going on. c:

Oh yes. There is a lot of BIG no no's here, hehe. And I agree, I think I have to split it up in two pages. I had just gotten out of a long drawing desert that had lasted for years. When I finally hit a story I actually liked, I actually wanted to tell I just started sketching, inking and painting and did not look back. The first five pages was sketched, inked and painted in less then a month. Finally, for the first time in years I knew what to draw and what to tell.
I admit I did not take time for research of how to set up a comic page - I was afraid to speed down.
The first pages are a mess. I have rearranged page 5 serval times. There are serval pages that have to much crammed into them. This page format(1x1) lend it self mostly to 3 and 4 frames - maybe 6, at some pages I have 8 which is to much.

What hold me back on this page is the picture of Rick and Mistel together - it was what sold it to my self, if I can say it in that way.

After I had finished serval pages I began more research and practice a lot more. Sketching like crazy. I had sketched mostly everything from page 1 - page 29 in that first month so I knew the direction.

I know that feeling very well! I also just started drawing my comic one day in fear that if I kept thinking too much about it, I would never actually start drawing it. x3
Sometimes just starting is the best thing to do, and then to keep on doing it c: One can always redo the earlier mistakes one makes.
And besides, not everything has to be perfect from the beginning!

Indeed it is. I just had some projects that went nowhere so I had some fears when I started. Thank you for the kind words!
