Description
So, nobody technically asked me to do this, but many people asked ... questions, so, here you have it.I hope it'd be of some help if I can give any.
So yes, this is a tutorial on creature design, not on how to draw the creatures you design, that is up to your own practice... well, technically everything is. But this is my speciality I guess, and there are people far more qualified to teach you how to draw or paint.

Wow, fantastic sketches!
Such obvious references, you'd say.. yet so creatively put together. Some of the creatures look really creepy.
Also, I like the details in your descriptions, good thinking
That will definitely come in handy! Thanks a lot!

An evolution-based creature design? How unique! These creatures look very realistic!

Well, it isn't all that evolution based... actually I'm working on something more like that... but thanks ^_^

Ok i have a real problem, I go to tutorials for help but it ends up making me ticked off in the end cause what is all the screen is better than what is on my paper, i know practice practice, but the thing that makes me so mad is that if i work really hard on one go on here to upload it, and look at some of them, and then i get ticked off because my drawings are like a butt on the words smallest cell, then i dont upload it cause it stinks and i cant do as good as some of the things cause i have gimp, and i dont know how to shade so good and erase the lineart line DAMNIT

Yeah, gimp sucks. I got gimp because I was curious and was pissed with it by the end of the day. Maybe you should try Artweaver. It's far better then Gimp, and it's free.

Man please, cheer up. There are no magic tricks in art, no tutorial in the world would work as a revelation "Great, now I've seen the best posible tutorial ever, I'm gonna kick Velรกzquez in the face with my power-brush" thats bullshit! just take a deep look at everything around you, keep the objects in your mind as clearly as if you had them in your hands, be able to look all around them, think of its real shape, and how it should look. And yes, practice the whole day, like literaly I could be the whole day drawing, and some times I manage to do it.
But your worst mistake here is comparing your work to others. Thats imposible, your work is unique. You can see other people's work, see how they work, what you can take from them, you must do this stuff to get better. But on many things you can only compare an artist with himself, and your art by your own standars. You can't never get better in life at anything trying to surpass people, work to get better than yourself, check what's actually wrong in your drawings and which things to keep for the next.
