I drew HM Flying Tiger for Murasaki99 as a christmas gift. I really loved drawing this character for practice. I rarely draw halters so this was a bit of a challenge. I also tried some new techniques and they seem to pay off. I purposely did a more paintery style, I could always use more practice on backgrounds though.

Flying Tiger looks so real, how did you do that? His coat is so glossy and he's just perfect.

Thank you for the kind compliments. I looked at loads of different photos of real horses to get an idea of how I wanted to draw him. I made lots of small edits over the course of drawing this and kept tweaking it to my liking. One of my new favorite tools is liquify on photoshop. I absolutely adore that tool, it allows me to modify the size of things without cutting and redrawing the whole thing like I used to.
I am glad you like it and thank you so much for being such a faithful follower throughout the years. It really helped encourage me to draw more. Happy holidays and hope your Christmas went well!
