Description
And here's my Christmas movie this year, dynamite cop!Which has nothing to do with Christmas other that the first installment was released in the west as Die Hard arcade and Die Hard took place during Christmas, so there.
Hey, Sega's looking into turning their franchises into movies now, and as much as I'd love to see a Shinobi or Shenmue movie, without gameplay they'll just be generic kung fu revenge movies. Dynamite cop on the other hand, has potential....
(And so does Ristar and Skies of Arcadia and NiGHTS and stop ruining my idea darn it.)
I swear this video barely counts as a parody, outside of hurting innocents this is all stuff happening in the series, including fighting enemies with Maths (Tough only in the third and barely known Dynamite Deka Ex)
Made this partly for Sonic paradox, who want (non-Sonic) Sega sketches for an upcoming video. And me being a Sega fan decided to step in and throw a bunch of sketches their way. Most of them I'm keeping a secret till release, but decided to share this one here for the Christmas spirit, not to mention desperately wanted a non Sonic/ Anthro movie up as a break before I dive right back into Sonic/ IMP/ Freedom planet and what else.
Anyway, that's why my logo appears and there's no subtitles, that would break style with the other video's.
Tough most jokes are visual, so shouldn't matter much.

Love the movie, man. Too bad Sega doesn't make more Dynamite Cop/Die Hard beat-em-up games. Think it would've made every Die Hard movie worth it because the tie-in game by Sega was awesome. XD

I heard people hate the recent Die Hard game. Shame Sega didn't give the movie its own tie-in game. It would've been awesome..especially that chick on the motorbike but hey, that's just me.
DYNAMITE COP!!

DUnno if current day Sega could do it justice, they're a shadow of what they used to be.
Only the team working on the Yakuza series really has that vibe.

I would give them that opportunity. Guess Sega should hire fan-game makers or something.

Hehe, explosions.
Never actually watched "Die Hard", but the clichΓ© action hero Michael Bay-esque thing indeed may benefit from McDonalds as a setting, and possibly action heroes being snarky with math- and logic-problem related one-liners.
"Supersize... this".
and
Hero: "I'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum."
(Starts chewing bubble gum.)
Bad guy: "Phew!"
Hero shoots bad guy.
Bad guy: "Whhhhhhyyy----"
Hero: "I said AND, not XOR."
. . . Wait, this is based on a videogame?
Huh. I would've figured it was a parody of "Die Hard... IN SPACEON A DIE HARD", combined with something I remember you saying about "Detective Conan" and math problems.
And yeah sure, why not, it has the appropriate level of explosions to be turned into a movie.

It's a game indeed, and a fantastically silly on at that.
Quite the polar oposite of Detective Conan.

first time you upload something without subtitles, there's no problem of coyurse, but it did come to my attention
that last gag was really hilarious xD you really haven't lost the hang of it when it comes to writting
Really appreciated the consistancy of your writting style and your humor, and I sure hope the others do too

Reason there's no subtitles is that this is made partly for a collab from SOnic paradox, and didn't want to break their style too much.
Since most jokes are visual here anyway I figured it wouldn't matter much.

Didn't knew that game and I feel like it's unfair it went under the radar.
SEGA should basically shove a boot up Platinum games' asses for stealing the mojo they came up with first.

yeah, would love to see them re-release more games from the saturn/ dreamcast age. Many rare gems hidden there.

Most probably true.
The early 90's PC era is also full of forgotten great games. Personally it's those I know best and am sometimes nostalgic about. (didn't own saturn or dreamcast sadly)

The one with the HUmar and the FOnewm (Hunter Human and Force Newman) are fighting Dark Falz in PSU and the HUmar is all "it's just like Phantasy Star Online!" sonicparadox.net/single/?p=806β¦ the joke is that the two forms are different because they're reskins of existing bosses. I threw in the comparison of Mother Brain to Dulk FakisΒ too. If possible, you could also throw in a joke about her annoying overuse of the anti-material shieldΒ www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PFfzqβ¦
If you need to research any details, just look up gameplay by searching the boss names on youtube. I should point out though that De Rol Le was in PSO as well, but the adapted boss fight was entirely faithful in PSU and entirely original.
Really the only reason I can think of for Dark Falz's first form to be reskinned is because he shoots out small thingies(In PSO they're called Darvants) like De Rol Le does.
Honestly PSO2 is more relevant these days but I posted that a while ago..

I see...
Afraid I'm not terribly familair with Phantasy Star, only played the second Genesis one and Phantasy star Portable 2Β for the PSP.
And while I *could* do research and see what you're talking about, I am trying to construct my jokes so that noobs can still get the general idae if they don't know the series and that's hard to do with "insert name: This reminds me of insert name of inert name" jokes. I could do a jok like that if it's just a quick comment or a small visual joke in the middle of a bigger and more broad parody set up, but on it's own... I don't know.
Your "final fantasy in space" joke might be more up my alley, altough it doesn't quite work because Final fantasy is so all over the place and crazy these days that that series doesn't have a clear structure for me to parody/ compare Phantasy star with AND this is mostly about the 90's Phantasy star. Today's phantasy star is more comparable to Monster hunter.
So I'll keep your thoughts in mind if any Phantasy star universe/ portable joke pops up.

Well really when it comes to the whole "Final Fantasy IN SPACE" part it's more of a in name only thing, it's not supposed to make a whole lot of sense beyond that, though there is the fact that Final Fantasy games as far as I am aware are never set in outer space. They may occasionally contain sci-fi elements, but I'm pretty sure the closest it's ever come to having beam-blade weapons like lightsabers was later entries in Kingdom Hearts, which doesn't really count as Final Fantasy... in fact I think FF usually only goes as far as that one urban sci-fi subgenera whose name escapes me at the moment, but I know RWBY falls into the same general category and has foldable weapons like FF13 does.

I'm really lost with Sega stuff, aside of Sonic and maybe Nights I barely know about its games (Strangely, despite being less gamers than I it seems my brothers have more experience with Sega... But only because of games like Virtua Tennis and Football Manager...)
Yeah... Whenever I play Sonic & all star transformed I either choose a Sonic char.... Or Wreck it Ralph... (Or Team Fortress 2 since I have it on PC)
Where was I going with all this...? Oh yeah! Dynamite Cop kinda comes as a new concept to me, even thought it sounds like another 90s game, and you're saying the game was pretty much like this anyway? Damn! I'm curious now!
And hey! Christmas is pretty much about explosions and baddassery to me, so this fits perfectly!

It's a spiritual succesor to Streets of Rage, heck, there were tons of dumb beat em ups like this in the 1990-1995's, maybe one of those. Tough this is one of the most over the top ones.
