Description
This drawing is part of the Sonic Movie project created by who hired me to do all of the model-sheets. Sega unfortunately is already in talks with a thrid party for a production of the Sonic feature so the project is ended. I like this take on them, especially Robotnik /Eggman actually - he looks like he could actually be intimidating, and it's a good mix of looks for him with something new added.
This eye lighting works well too, not entirely centered.

I tried to put my style on it but to tell you the truth, I don't like him too bad guy. Robotnik for me is crazy and more like this: [link]
I'm glad you like the characters together! The most diffucult thing about Sally and Sonic, specially watching SatAM, is they not fit like they are in the same show. Something like puting Ben 10 with Mickey Mouse in the same show. Sally is too american style and Sonic is too manga style so I did the best I could to make them work together in screen.

There was a style discrepancy, yes. I'm about to Japan-ize Sally instead (for the old game style) XD We'll see what comes out of that.
I see what you mean about Robotnik; the guy's really different in Japan and the USA. Most people seem to have a strong preference for one of them.

As I am in Brazil, I don't mind where the visual came from. I just think the Sonic japanese original design and storyline is better. We here in Brazil watched the Satam episodes but we never had the Sonic comics published. Actually we had but only the first 4 issues I guess, where Sonic first meets Bunnie and rescue her from being robotized. So the better way to know about Sonic (At that time, with no internet yet) was reading the storyline on game's manual and playing the games.

And I like the old games the very most, but I like many versions for different reasons. I like combinations of them, too, but most of all, I like them for their own unique ideas about Sonic.

the movie was announced nearly two years ago. Is it even being made? I hope that Night of the werehog isn't it, because I want a sonic movie based on satam.

It was not made because Sega of Japan didn't approve it. In this link ([link] ) you can see the Rich's saga to produce this movie and more information. The Werehog short movie have nothing to do with this project so don't worry.

So sad that it was cancled. Durn. I just hope the 3rd party does a good job with it and brings back the clasic charicters.

I hope they dont mess it up like they did sonic x. I mean the show had good art and animation but it was purely sissy. I mean for crying out loud Chris did nothing and sonic was practicaly his pet. They always palyed a stupid oboe everytime rouge opened her mouth and they make knuckles a moron. Then they have Eggman with the stupidest schemes like trying to take over the education system or makeing hordes of robotic house appliances. The only time they had something worth watching was when they did sonic adveture one and two storylines. And dont get me started on the mezaracks!
huff huff, sorry thats just my rant on how sega messed up sonic x. Truely they also made a mistake on AoSth but at least that was funny. Only SatAm and underground did sonic any justice, so the movie better be based of one of those. who knows, maby it will be based off the comic becasue theyre about to hit issue 200. I shure hope so.

Well, I agree with all the things you said about Sonic X. Chris crying all the time and the childish stories really desapointed me too. Even this way I think Sonic X a lot better tham Satam. The Satam characters are strange. They look from another cartoon, but not a Sonic cartoon. They don't fit to the original japanese style of drawing him. For me the best was those 2 OVA called Sonic Movie in USA. I would be really happy if Sega follow this cool movie where Metal Sonic rocks!
