"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23)"Fruit" in this context means what God produces in people through the Holy Spirit. The fruits are pure not just on the outside but also the inside and that reveals the Spirit at work. In case it's hard to read the fruits:
Apple: love
Orange: joy
Pear: peace
Pineapple: patience
Peaches: kindness
Grapes: goodness
Banana: faithfulness
Strawberries: gentleness
Lemon: self control
All these fruits grow on one tree,
But how can this be?
'Tis a mystery
Revealed within our meek hearts,
As we are all parts
Of the whole that starts
With the Spirit of our Lord
Revealed through His Word
And into us poured.

Thank you! Yeah, when matching fruit, lemon for self control just seemed natural.
But, just as lemon may be sour on its own but can be sweetened with other fruits, the same is true for self control combined with the other fruits of the Spirit. In fact, the Bible says they all come out from love (1 Corinthians 13).
