I assumed you made it, since there are like, no VC cosplays out there, and besides, homemade is always better! But did you like sew it all together yourself? Or are there any sites you'd recommend for buying all the clothes and stuff? OwO
Sorry if I sound too pushy or something... I've just been looking for stuff for my cosplay for a while now and can't seem to find anything, besides this one thing I want, but it's like, $100. XD

It's not problem at all! You're not being pushy, I'm so happy you like my Lestat and I'm always happy to give advice ^_^ For this costume, I already had the trousers, the stockings are just white tights underneath, the shirt was modded (just lace added to the sleeves and the collar was altered), and the jacket and waistcoat were made by hand. I normally make all my costumes myself, but just before the con where we debuted our VC cosplays, I fractured a bone in my foot and couldn't use the sewing machine pedal! Luckily my lovely Claudia helped me out
The waistcoat was pretty easy - we just found a nicely patterned blue and gold silk fabric and used lining fabric to make the back pieces. The jacket proved a little more difficult, as it was made with crushed velvet - I don't recommend using it unless you have a lot of patience! We used a gold bias to trim the edges of the jacket, added gold buttons to everything and voila! Shoes were bought from a charity store, wig and fangs from ebay, make up we already had. In total, I don't think it came to more than about £40-£50.

Oh, wow! Must have taken quite some time to get it all done. 
Unless I manage to find everything at a thrift store or something, which I highly doubt.
One thing I'm dying to get though is a renaissance shirt. I love them. X3

Aww, thank you! I'm so glad you like the costumes. As far as I remember, it didn't take that long to do everything as it was all rather a rush job. We had to make Lestat, Louis and Claudia, as well as work on our Torchwood costumes, so Claudia and Louis stayed at my house for a week and we powered through everything the week before the con xD
If you've made fursuits and plushies in the past, making costumes really isn't that different! 8D You've got the sewing machine knowledge, you just need to apply it to a different medium. There's plenty of tutorials on making waistcoats and jackets on youtube, and dressmakers patterns are very helpful when it comes to making that sort of thing for the first time.
And yes, the renaissance shirt is a lot of fun and easy to make - flippy flappy lace hands xD

Ohh~ Maybe that one house is still giving away free patterns. If not, I can just go search around JoAnne's for some!
There's one I want in particular, but it's so expensive! Maybe I can find one cheaper on Ebay or find a pattern for one. c:
