Description Don't get me wrong in general I think Gold edition was an improvement. while I don't like the ending to RotJ, and think the original ewok part was better, I can live with it.

But sorry Han shot first, and the change other than looking down right bad, ruins the story of scoundrel to hero.

That is what I heard too. But it weakens his character, though out the story you see him evolve from a self-centered scoundrel to a hero and a leader of the rebellion.
