Man I had fun with this one. Aaand I FINALLy figured out how to do the lens-light-thingy! :cheer:
This was supposed to be just a testing picture, but guys...I fell in love with this character. I'm working on his reference right now! <3
I've always wanted a dragon that had ears, hair, and was blind. So I combined all of them to make his cutie! <33 I've never felt to close to a character....it's like static 0.o
Oh yeah, his name is Robin
<33 He's so adorable! If he were human, he'd be around the age of 14/15, I haven't decided yet...

Can you tell me how to do the light effects? I have been wondering how to do that for quite awhile.

Sure
I have photoshop elements 7, this may be a little different...
On the right side of my photoshop I have three tabs: Edit, Create, and Share. Click on the Edit and click on the small icon with the three colors in it (effects)
Then here's a tab you click on with lots of options. Click the one that says Render. Ten you should see about four different options. Click on the one with the object with a little round lens glare behind it and click apply. Then it's pretty straight forward

oh...photoshop. darn. I dont have photoshop. its too expensive for me. the monthly payment is too much considering i dont get much of a chance to do digital art with high school and all. my tablet and SAI left me broke for art money, and right now the ipad is at the top of my "things to buy" list. oh well, i dont need lighting effects. I just gotta get shading and shadows down with sai.
