I worked hard enough on this one that I'm sticking it as an actual deviation.

This is along the same lines as this:

Behind the Stargate in Atlantis, there is a way cool window. At one point I tried to find some decent pictures of the window but didn't have much luck, but for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, here:

Like the "Grand Atlantean Window" I am posting it so that other artists may use it. If you would like to use it for non-commercial Stargate-related use, feel free. I'd prefer some credit somewhere and it'd be cool if you mention something about it to me so maybe I could see it or something.

For example, my sister used it in a sig of her's [link] . She thought I could spare others the effort of all of the detail.

Design credit goes to the set designer and builder people there on the show.

which all eventually is owned by MGM

Looks great! Wish I had come across this a few months ago, I wouldn't have done one of my own.

I've been working on a version of exactly the same thing on and off for two years with little luck, working mostly from screen caps. It's wonderful to finally see another person's approach and I intend to learn from it.

I hope it helps, I remember having trouble figuring out some of the sections from the screen shots I could find. Also, the different lighting in the scenes made guessing colors tricky as well.

Has to be the best thing I've seen all day.[And I've seen a lot of lame things] all the same, AWESOME JOB!

It's amazing the number of time that window has been destroyed and has not really changed one bit...

Good work, lots of detail and time put in. Research too, would've taken forever to work out where all the lines go (but I don't think many people are worried about it, it looks great).

I have a theory about either some kind of repair robots or maybe a member of the expedition who is really obsessive and compulsive and insists on making sure these windows are repaired correctly and does the repairing themselves.

You'd have to be seriously compulsive to do it with 1,000 ity-bity bits of glass...

I can understand when the replicators did repaired, but that's the only time

Maybe they had something like Farscape's DRDs... that are small and that's why we've never seen them... and they just make small, non-critical repairs and don't need brains (because McKay would need to feel needed)

So very cool!

Thank you for also providing the line-art, too! Now I want to dig up a projector somewhere & paint this on my wall.
