remember lines of site angles, if the body is turned one way unless the head is turned more sideways you should still be able to see some of the other side of the face. If the head is turned completely side ways there should be sign of a turned neck on the body.
Even in cartoons it adds more depth to things. Same thing with the back feet and front of the body. you have one end turned one way and the other facing forward making it look sorta ackward.
