Again, she didn't reappear until after Raven and Cinder fought, so she clearly had a plan to wait and see what happened. But she at least needed to follow and see what happened.

And what else could they have done? At the very least, they needed to have someone follow Cinder, Raven and Vernal. And Yang made sense, because Raven was her mother, and thus would be less likely to attack her.

Again, you have to remember that they're fighting for the future of the world. And doing so requires taking risks. As does fighting a much stronger enemy. Any sensible person can understand this.

Not reckless. Reckless means you're indifferent to the consequences, and I think understood the consequences of what she was doing.

Um, I do.

Yang did an incredibly brave thing, and came out of it unharmed. Because, wait for it, she has developed as a character, and has learned from her past mistakes! She's learned to not just run in guns blazing anymore.

Also, noobs? I've been following RWBY since day 1. I know what I'm talking about.

Anyone who claims Yang is 1-dimensional and hasn't developed as a character is either blind or deliberately ignoring reality. Yang has undergone some of the most development of any character, with the exceptions of Jaune, Ruby, and Blake. While Yang is still upbeat and jokey, she is otherwise unrecognizable as that reckless girl who thought she was unstoppable. She now knows to be cautious in her fights, and demonstrated this when she chased after Cinder and Raven. She didn't step in until after the fight, and was able to get the Relic without having to fight at all.

So yeah, the only noob here is you. Then again, your username is "MerlotLover", so I shouldn't expect anything else.

That's because the Manticore and Sphinx aren't related to each other. they are not different varieties of the same species of Grimm, evident in the fact that their names share no commonality. Hence why I mentioned them separately. I didn't do so for, say, the Ursa Major, because they are simply a variety of Ursa.
