Thankyou!
My friend who is the model in this photo used to love being a Victorian goth, and would dress like this all the time

I'm a little obsessed with both anything Victorian and anything goth. I just love the concept. Funny because I come from a clean Christian family. I love horror and creepy things are what I enjoy. I love horror music and such. My mom and I are like polar opposites on that one. But we are still very similar. I'm still Christian though, if you're wondering. I just have terrible social anxiety. But I really love it. I'm obsessed with clowns/Victorian/goth; basically anything dark that isn't involving the devil, haha. Sorry, I ramble a lot.

Haha, that's cool... My father's side of the family is Jehovah's Witness, and I used to go with my grandma to kingdom hall meetings and post Watchtower magazine through people's letterboxes in London, when I was 7 years old haha
I no longer go to meetings, or do anything else God related now... I have adapted my own individual belief, based on Existentialism, Buddhism and other theological philosophies combined together.

I feel the same way about dark things and macabre stuff... I like a lot of weird and unusual stuff, but I think 95% of actual theistic Satanists/devil worshipers are all idiots...

Definitely. I really believe in God, and I've had many things that have proved it to me (in my opinion). I come from a super Christian state and neighborhood and everybody wants to 'save' you, and it's really annoying. Just because I got my nose pierced when I was nineteen wasn't a reason to get all up in my face. And dying my hair blood red isn't the end of the world.

I've been bullied by a lot of people in my life, and so I created a story that holds all of that pain, both exaggeratedly and symbolically. The main character of the story is named Saruta Valentine, that's why I chose to name all of my social media after her, and I'm using her name as a pseudonym/stage name. I want to be a singer, author, and artist, among other things. A lot of my stories are based off of my nightmares that I've had for as long as I can remember.

It's really sad when faith causes people to become extremely judgmental and fearful, when they see someone who wants to express themselves in a different way... I know people like that too... They say that they want to "save" you because they love you, but love cannot truly be love if it is used to control and suppress. Love must be something that allows freedom, creativity and acceptance to grow.

Love should be something that teaches people to be independent, to be able to exist without fear, and even the knowledge of how to live without the constant "protection" from people who cannot even understand themselves, let alone other people.
In the same sense, god's greatest moment, is the moment that you realize your consciousness is god experiencing itself.
A true god is not the one with the most followers,
but one who creates the most gods.
A true teacher is not the one with the most knowledge,
but one who causes the most others to have knowledge.

You know, I truly believe that. In my religion, we believe that if we do good we will become gods ourselves. Sounds kind of weird at first but I believe it. I really think He loves us for who we are. Also, it's said in my religion that you will be judged by Him far harsher if you judge than the person who 'sinned'. I'm grateful for this. It brings me peace.

Thank you so much. You really seem to be the only one I've ever spoken to that understands my mind. I've been isolated all my life because I have a severe condition with my physical health. When that happens, you become a 'project' and everybody pitied you and forgets that you are human as well.

That is very true...! I believe prejudice and judgement are very dangerous things, because it creates a cycle of hatred and revenge that is virtually impossible to break. It's also true, that the people who point their fingers and judge others for how they look/dress (especially towards women), are very often the same people who feel the most insecure about their own appearance, and they try to block those thoughts by pushing that insecurity from themselves onto other people. This is can also be applied to prejudice towards things like homosexuality... It seems to be a very common theme in strongly religious communities, that any mention of a sexual subject makes people feel extremely uncomfortable and insecure about themselves... That same insecurity results in them trying to "dehumanize" people outside of a sexual norm or practice, because they guiltily see something in themselves psychologically that makes them insecure and afraid of a part of who they might be.

Having a severe physical health condition can be a very damaging thing to a persons mind... It is difficult to remain happy when you are reminded of the harshness of reality, and the constant pity and platitude of other people often feels just as depressing... At the end of the day, all anyone really wants is just to be understood and express themselves as a human.
I hope that one day, more people will see the importance of that...
Oh, you're welcome, haha... I've been told before that I'm good at listening and understanding deep stuff like this.

Yes! Wow, finally someone understands. I swear, I've been searching for someone who understands my whole life. I don't believe in homosexuality for myself, but that gives me no right to tell someone else that they're 'sinning'. I think there are just a lot of religious people who think that since they go to church, they know best. Glad I'm not one of those people!

Yes... It's one of the reasons why the world is terrible place for many people... It doesn't matter what religion or group they come from, this world will slowly be consumed by fear and hatred, if individuals use faith and sin as an excuse to victimize others, to create suffering and anguish...

The only way humans will ever be able to understand each other, is when we cast our ego away, and accept the fact that all humans are bizarre creatures, with a complexity that is beyond understanding or reasoning. Nothing more, and nothing less...

Very true...I think we should all be united. It's too bad most people don't see it that way
