Part 3 in our ongoing series! When first being seen by a two-legger, especially one who wasn't expecting to see a guy "attached to a horse," I've witnessed a wide range of reactions. The mixture of shock, disbelief, fascination, and curiosity is oftentimes overwhelming for them. Sometimes folks just need to feel something to fully accept that it's real. Some hoofers aren't keen to it, but Cooper and I always welcome the opportunity to be ambassadors for our kind, and if it helps a human's first encounter with us then I’m more than fine with it.

Here Kyle fears that he may have offended us by drawing a comparison to our animal counterparts. This is also something that Cooper and I are more than used to, and we never take offense to it. It's an understandable comparison to make, and in many ways we're actually proud of it. We feel lucky to have these bodies with all this mass, speed and power, but instead of it belonging to a common animal we get to be in control of it. It's a part of us.

While we definitely aren't horses, one partial similarity that humans usually find interesting is our tails. I do have full control of my tail whenever I'm consciously thinking about it, but when I'm not it does seem to have a mind of its own, occasionally swishing and flicking at random. As seen here my tail also happens to be very good at keeping pests off my rump. Hey, it's just doing its job!

Was that particular tail flick an involuntary action or a calculated strike...I'll let you decide
