Description
Literally meaning aimless fire, these strange Yokai have the body of the bird but a dog-like face, but appear most often as a ball of fire by riverbanks. They are said to be the reborn souls of people who were never given full funeral rites, and now are cursed as strange wandering lights. Some believe that they may have even once been a form of Shikigami, and their aimless nature comes from being masterless. Whatever the case, they tend to be rather harmless, and only those with real bad luck may find themselves at the wrong end of a Furaribi's misguided wrath.
