well come on seriously. they've been living together since the end of FFVII and known each other since childhood. cloud even promises to save tifa if she was ever in trouble which he did on more than one occassion.
I mean i have nothing against aerith but she belongs with zack. this is what it's like as a fan and we all know that feeling.
