Dank je wel.
En eigenlijk zonder veel bijkomende details hΓ©.. Bij deze laatste laag heb ik enkel nog gewerkt aan kleur en contrast.

Wonderful work, ghostly and thought provoking an image of the times showing the desperation of displaced people!

Disturbing and disquieting...fascinating as well. I see that you have opted for the blurred multitude I was talking about a few days ago. The two white outlines at the foreground are so pathetic! A maddening, hopeless future... ( Have a nice Christmas all the same!)

Yes, I remembered and applied your advice, Claire..
Hope not 'too' disturbing and touching for you.. Still we have to keep our belief that (some) things can get better!!!
Appreciate your comment and support, dear friend!

Β I ought to be disturbed by the reality of our planet! Your actual painting is really deep and couragous: I myself amΒ morally too weak and...not strong enough to face such
Β a kind of work! Fortunately, there are artists like you!

In fact it's good you get touched by things like that.. Being apathic about it would be worse..

This is horrifying in ways I would care not to delve into. Great job at drawing emotion, very well done. Thank you for the submission in the group. May I post this on Facebook, credit to you of course.

Awe see how you are.
Yes.. well mine are not so sweet, I have this thing called sleep paralysis, have you heard of it?

rollarius55 In reply to LiveArtBreatheArt [2015-12-11 14:26:30 +0000 UTC]
gee... heard about it but I'm not really familiar with it... that's the reason why you only sleep 4 hours a night, I suppose..

LiveArtBreatheArt In reply to rollarius55 [2015-12-11 14:53:06 +0000 UTC]
Yes it's where you are basically paralyses in you're sleep, you can't move, it's like someone is holding you down and it feels very real.. it's sometimes hard to determine if you are sleeping or awake and some of them turn into real nightmares.
You can actually feel whatever pain is happening to you in you're dream.. rather it be claws ripping the insides of you out, some evil thing choking you, or spiders crawling down you're throat. It can get very horrible to say the least.
You are caught in a world of dream and reality, neither here nor there and if you don't know what is happening, you actually think it really happened. However I was doing some research on dream analysis one night and found out what I have, I talked to a few people about it and found out that it is not as uncommon as I think it is, there are a lot of people with this.. some don't even know that they have it.
There is no cure to this, it basically is something you either have or don't and it will not stop on account of medication, there are things one can do to ease the dreams.. meditation like things.. but it's pretty much with you for the rest of you're life, but it's better to know what you have and know that it is not real, it's only another episode vs. not knowing and thinking it is real.
A person can think they are waking up and going back to sleep again and re waking up numerous times before they actually wake up and snap out of it.
Some link it to satin, some sort of evil invading you're unconscious mind.. but this was hundreds of years ago, before they knew what it was.
Many people that have this, actually the majority of people who have this are artists.. go figure.

Sounds terrible..
I read it's important to stay calm, try not to panic
Of course the world of dream and almost dreams can be strange, but this is really odd
and is this the reason you sleep so little; are you very anxious for it; it sounds you succeed in relativating it a bit..

LiveArtBreatheArt In reply to rollarius55 [2015-12-12 02:44:31 +0000 UTC]
Yeah that is true, it's hard to do that sometimes.. but knowing what it is and when it is happening really helps a person stay calm vs freak out and not know what to do.
Honestly I'm so used to it, it does not really phase me as much as it did in the beginning. I've had this since I was around 16-17, but it was not until a couple of months ago that the full blown sleep paralyses episodes started coming.. but I know what it is and that it will soon pass and is not real. But you are right.. I'm not exactly thrilled to go to sleep, knowing there is a good chance that another episode will take place, just cause I know what it is, does not always make it any less freaky.
