Is it too late for a Christmas pic? ovo

I wanted to make a Holidays pic, then I remembered that I had this already done so ovo/

This scene takes place during Digimon Adventure 02 "A very Digi-Christmas" ovo

For a little context: Rumi had been a bit distant from the other digidestined after summer, When she tried to confess to Taichi after one of his football game, but a misunderstanding happened and Rumi thought Taichi had rejected her. Rumiko tried her best to accept this but it just hurt her to see Taichi so she distanced herself from him and then the others by extention, so they started to notice and after a while decided to talk to her:

"Rumiko had heard enough she took a turn and started walking as fast as she could away from Taichi and Sora, when she felt she was far enough she started running, her digimon had a hard time following her steps until she heard someone calling out to her:

-Rumi!- said the blonde boy accompanied by his own digimon

-Yamato…- she said surprised -What are you doing out here? Aren’t you performing first?

-Yes, but I had to buy some last things, It is still pretty early though… Im glad you could come- he said -Are you going somewhere?

-Ah no! I was running from…-In her panicked state she talked more than she wanted

-Is there a digimon around?!- he asked worried

-Ah no its not like that…- she said, and a big silence was heard

-We saw Sora and Taichi- said her digimon, much to her dislike

-You did?- asked the boy, she had to nod

-Yeah… Sora was kinda looking for you…- she confessed

-Oh I see…- Yamato attempted to walk past her but stopped -Why arent you with them? - he asked after realizing it, she just tensed -Now that I think of it… You have been distant recently… Is something the matter? Is it Ichijouji again?-

-No its not like that…- she said

-Is it the student council?- asked the boy’s digimon

-I…- she whispered -I was running away from Taichi….- she finally snapped, Yamato blinked twice

-Why?- was all he could answer, she sighed

-I like him…- she blushed, he was clearly confused

-Okay… But why are you running away from him again?-

-Because I know he doesnt like me back, and it hurts being around him when I know that- she said

-How do you know that?- she sighed again in defeat and started explaining

-Before the Summer ended I went to one of his games, when it ended he walked me home and I saw it as a good opportunity to confess, so I asked him if he liked someone he said “I have someone I like and I had liked her for a while” so I knew he was talking about Sora…- she said, Yamato stood there thinking

-I… I won't deny there was something going on there but… How can you be so sure he was talking about Sora? Did you ask him? - he said

-I didn’t have the courage- she sadly laughed -I was afraid at his answer so I left it like that, he didn’t say anything else so I assumed he was rejecting me indirectly

-I know Taichi… If he was going to reject you, he would have done so directly and clearly, he appreciates you and I'm sure he would have liked if there was no tension between the two of you…- he said -Though I also understand why you didn’t ask him more directly… I guess what Im trying to say is that you two should talk…- he said but a ring on his pocket was heard he took it out and started speaking -Yes? Im on my way- Rumiko looked at him
-Its okay just go, I promise Ill think about what you told me- she smiled, content with the answer Yamatto took off- See you at the concert!- she called out and Yamato returned a thumbs up...

-Well dear do come again, it was a delight having you and Shoumon around- said Ms. Ichojouiji as Rumiko was returning home after spending some time with Ken and friends, the girl waved goodbye and walked with Ken to the train station

-You really don’t have to do this Ken- she smiled -I have Shoumon to walk with me

-It’s okay, I want to do this- said Ken carrying Leafmon in his arms -Plus I can talk to you without my parents around

-Im glad you are finally getting along with you Davis and the others- the boy nodded

-How about you?- he asked

-What do you mean?-she asked tilting her head

-You are avoiding your partners- he said and she tensed

-Who told you?- she asked nervous

-T.K and Hikari…-he confessed -They are worried for you, they all are… I am now… Would you tell me what is going on?

-I… Like one of the boys from the group-she confessed blushing

-Can’t you just tell him?-he asked

-It’s not so simple- she sighed and looked up -He likes someone else… And it hurts being his friend when I feel this way…- she said sadly -That is why I try to get away from him, to try and forget this feelings

-But what if you can’t? You are going to loose all of them… - he said

-I know- she protested, -But it just hurts so much…- she said

-Rumi…- Ken was clearly worried -Can I ask… Who is it?- he asked after a moment of silence

-Taichi… His name is Taichi…-she said

-Oh this is awkward- he said pointing to someone in front of them, said boy was leaning against a streetlight, like waiting, hands on his pockets

-Taichi?- asked Rumiko stopping in her tracks suddenly a yellow digimon appeared from behind the boy

-Ah! There they are! We have been waiting for you- said the yellow digimon

-Agumon!- Shoumon called from behind the girl

-Well then, I guess… I'll go back home- said Ken noticing the big tension there was between the older pair and ran away with leafmon but stayed not so far from there hiding behind a three

-Why are you here?- asked the girl in her usual monotonous tone

-I came to look for you… Yamato told me you were here - he admitted

-Tch, he and his big mouth- she protested to herself

-Rumiko… I want to clear things up- said Taichi

-What are you talking about?-

-You know exactly what I’m talking about- he said but she looked away in an attempt to avoid the subject -You have been avoiding me for a good while and I want to know why…-

-Why do you care?- she asked

-Because you are my friend Rumiko, and I worry about you, Did I do something wrong? Did something happened?- he asked trying to find an answer but it made the girl frown

-Well you already have your answer- she said looking down

-What?- he was clearly confused

-I don’t want to be your friend… It hurts being your friend- she said and the boy was clearly hurt -I… Can’t stand being your friend when I feel this way about you…- she confessed -I like you Taichi- she finally said to the surprise of the boy and the Digimon alike also the pair that was spying on them

-I…- he was left speechless, as the girl saddened

-It’s okay, I know perfectly well you don’t feel the same way about me… I know that very well, I got the message when you told me you have liked someone for a long time... And it hurts Taichi… That’s why I avoided you I stayed away from you in hopes of one day getting over this feelings for you and when looking at you I wont hurt this much…- she said and when she saw him not responding she was about to walk past Taichi and accept her rejection, maybe this was what she needed, to know Taichi was clearly not into her… However before she knew it the boy was already over her, hugging her tightly

-Im sorry- he said and she knew what he meant

-I told you… I already knew it…- she said trying to get free from his hug

-I didn’t mean it that way…- he said tightening the hug -I’m sorry I didn’t notice your feelings earlier, I should have… - he laughed a bit -I was so scared, I thought you hated me… I was so hurt by the mere thought of you not wanting to have anything to do with me, I couldn’t stand the thought of you out of my life… - he confessed, and she finally stopped trying to free herself -Rumiko… It was a misunderstanding- he said freeing her to look directly at her -I... - he blushed -I was talking about you…- he said and her whole face blushed bright red in surprise

-I-I-I thought…- she started

-I know… And I’m sorry I should have been more brave to tell you clearly- he said, then he softly laughed- So much for the crest of courage- she giggled, then ke cupped her face in his hand -So Rumi…- he locked his eyes with hers -Will you be my girlfriend?- he asked, she nodded, and then he approached her face, she closed her eyes waiting for the contact but then...

-Atchoo!- they heard, being interrupted both turned to the sight of Shoumon covering Agumon’s mouth

-Sorry!- he said, and the pair laughed

-Come on let's go home- he said, as he squeezed her hand, she nodded smiling and both digimon followed their partners..."
